Car is at the cup standard ride height. I know I can get a new splitter from fleabay for 50 quid, but why should I, when it wasn't like I hit the kerb, the holes were about 12 inches away from the kerb! Thanks for the info tho Middo (and also you Kingy, most appreciated).

I have parked in a place with 2 small puddles in it this morning in Birmingham, problem is that the 2 dips where the puddles are were accompanied by a raised bit of tarmac where a car must have sunk in the summer heat or something. Suffice to say I caught my splitter on it, and now have smashed...

To all those who've already submitted their pics, how much is that bumping your insurance to (obviously those that are declared). Because like Middo says it's only a few pound more to get a 172/182 proper. What is the difference? - Sorry, just curious. Donny

Rain-X is good stuff to an extent, you'll need 2 bottles the white one and the yellow one. one is to add the stuff, the other is to clean it before adding some more. There is also some pink stuff that is an additive for the washer fluid. Can't say its brilliant, but it does seem to work...

My Cup was around the 145Bhp ATW figure as standard. I would use that as a rough ballpark figure. Donny

The plastic is there for cosmetic reasons...the Cup doesn't have it on, but its your call. Donny

As the other guys have said...probably dampers (known issue!) replacements are around the £50 each mark from the dealers...I got mine from cliospares in Wolves for £35 + VAT and got them fitted elsewhere!!! Donny

Cheers guys, but its on the passenger side where the ticking noise is coming from, not the drivers side...I've checked on the outside of the car.

I have a 2003 172 Cup, the other night, I heard a clicking (like a tick) coming from behind the passenger side headlight/bumper. Its intermittent, and I'm not sure what could be causing it. Any ideas? Donny
