Kully had his done at Hill Power, but there is only circa 2 or 3Bhp gain....the car would be more driveable after this, but with this alone you're not gonna get the 10BHp as some people (myself included) were expecting to see. :)

I have already bought the cam belt and tensioners from Renault along with the Aux belt. I have seen somewhere on here the GSF code for the kit. I did try the search function...but couldn't locate it. Can anyone help??? Thanks in advance Donny

What he means is...do you have the standard exhaust? The 4K rattle is a known problem on the 172s. The best way to fix it is an aftermarket exhaust fitted properly. Renault will amend it but it will return a short while after. Park the car (once the engine is warm) open the door or...

Its 5 years or 72K...if yours was new in Jan 02...it would now be 5 years and 4ish months old. Mine is being done the day after Bank Holiday Monday. She's on 70.5K '53' plate... Good bit of advice though. :)

Only if you cover the ecu (+ electronics) amongst other things...if water gets in there...not good.

I drove from Telford to Cardiff (down the shortest route)...ie not on the Motorways! with no back box on...didn't get pulled...but the car didn't seem to run very well...fuel was being gobbled up and I was deaf in my left ear for the rest of the day! If you've booked the car in, it shouldn't...

If you mean what I'm talking about...it maxes the Cpu out at 100% and doesn't seem to be showing anything happening because of it!

Have you performed any updates recently? Like B3nje has said, SVCHOST can be a problem, and is in this recent update. There is a hotfix for this and it should be on Microsoft's website.

You're gonna open up a can of worms...;) I've got a Pro-speed stealth exhaust...£319 and is better than the original sound-wise...and is stainless steel. Other people will recommend others. Its all down to what you've bought really...but the Pro-speed is a custom job that is done piece by...

Speak to Martin on here...or Adams16v as they have both had valvers/williams/hybrids and have done this almost to the extreme point...so they should know what they're talking about. :)

The 172 manifold is 4 pipes going into 1...the 182 manifold is 4 pipes going into 2 then into 1... ie. the 172 manifold is a 4-1 whereas the 182 manifold is a 4-2-1.

Don't do it mate...get a K-tec carbon front splitter or standard...I personally don't like the look of them.
