Well put it this way... I took my dad out for a ride to Silverstone today. Half way there he says "I thought you had a sports exhaust?". Might need to give you car a few hundred miles yet. All BTB exhausts I have had over the years have needed a bit of soot to bed them in and quieten them down...
There is plenty of work being done behind the scenes at the moment to try and find a better solution to noise levels on the MOT. A friend of mine supplied his dyno to the motor industry research association to test a standard Ford Focus at road speeds with three exhaust systems - factory, kwik...
Bolts directly to the cat. There is a Pro-Cat 100cell sports cat available if you have the cash. Yes, 2.5" throughout. As soon as an opportunity lands itself, they will do some performance comparisons - but they are very busy at the moment.
The videos have been added to the site now. www.stealth4clio.co.uk Wasn't much noise to record and we ended up using an external microphone to try and get the best sound possible. Hope this helps. I can only apologise for the lifter/injector/dephaser (delete as applicable) noise on the...
You sound exactly like me. I went for the BTB stainless stealth system. The microsite has been launched but doesn't have any videos until the weekend. Check out www.stealth4clio.co.uk for more info.
From personal experience (and their exhausts on many of my cars for the last 20 years) I would recommend BTB Exhausts stainless stealth. In stock (at the moment) for just £349.00 inc VAT. See my thread for more details http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=452983&highlight=tb+stealth...
Just to throw another option into the pot... The BTB Stealth system is the same price as the K-Tec and in stock atm see http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=452983&highlight=BTB+stealth
If you want stealth (both in look and sound) plus very high quality I would go for a BTB. At just 350 quid its a steal impo. http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=452983&page=4
Just a quick heads up... A new BTB website for the Clio 172 stealth system with videos etc. will be launching in the new year with excellent prices. In the meantime, you can now get hold of the BTB stealth system for £350 inc Vat!! (exc. delivery or fitting). Also, it's a stock item. As an...
Price listed is £130 which is ex VAT. This however is just the caliper, the slider frame is extra! Delivery was £10. Also, just found out that it doesn't include new sliders, just the rubber boots. Thankfully I can get a set of 4 good ones from the eight I now have! Expensive, but good.
As part of my on going project to keep the car going for as long as possible (a bit like triggers broom!) I've had the front calipers refurbed by Biggred.
I've had a few caliper issues with pistons and sliders so enough was enough. I bought a set from a breaker so my car didn't have to come...
Yes, I was with that team. The car was an ebay special ex-Nurbugring 24 hour car bought for peanuts really. Clever choice as it uses ex BTCC Honda Integra wheels/tyres/brakes which are available cheap as chips from the various outlets. Not that fast (compared to the rest of the field) but very...
I see the BTB 182 Group Buy is in the Group Buy section in the for sale board. Should we start a thread there? Sean, you're in the same town as me, let me know if you want a gander at it - I'm sure BTB would appreciate another persons feedback.
NOW WITH PRICES....
I have negotiated a group buy price for 5 off at £419.75 INCL VAT but not including carriage or fitting, both of which can be arranged at extra cost. That will be for a system exactly the same as mine (i.e. Phase 2 172). If we get 10 they may come down to £379.90 INCL VAT...
Yes, I can see a small amount of the rear silencer under the bumper. I don't want to talk about the price as I have no idea what It'll be. I don't need to worry as Joe has been a friend of mine for 20 years. As I've said, the group buy on the 182 is just under £600, the 172 will be cheaper as...
