Mine got stuck in gear after I ran over a cone at about 70mph.
Thought it was just the linkage had taken a knock so ordered a new one and got Rentech to fit it.
They tried but no joy...gearbox ended up either still in gear when neutral was selected, or it locked itself up by slecting both...
Well, for the first time ever my Cup's not going to make it to this, MOT expired and Mike's not crawling all over it until the 25th.
I'll just have to bring my mighty 1.6 Zetec Focus along instead LOL.
I'm not saying everyone's a bad driver, just that no matter how good or experienced people think they are, they can always improve and be better drivers.
What did you do after your test...the full IAM/RoSPA or Pass Plus? Any/all are a good start and actually teach people how to drive instead...
Again you've missed my point. It doesn't matter what your current ability level is. It doesn't matter how much training you have or have not had.
You can always improve, driving is a learning experience from day one, everyone can always improve. The biggest issue is that most people can't man...
No, that's not what I said...I'm all in favour of winter tyres...see my post earlier in the thread.
What I was responding to was your specific point about being a driving god ;) because you've never had an accident and therefore would not benefit from any additional training.
You would, a lot...
Everyone needs additional training as what you learn before passing your test is woefully inadequate.
The trouble is most people justify their driving ability just like you have...never had a crash so no need to improve anything.
I didn't think the point of winter tyres was all about snow/ice/damp/wet conditions - as Oms clearly stated in his OP the point of them is that they work at cold temperatures whereas normal 'summer' tyres do not.
For a tyre to 'work' properly the tread has to work to turn the car as shown...
It could be the throttle body?
I had the same and it's usually the throttle pedal sensor or the throttle body itself, and seeing as you've done the throttle pedal already probably worth trying a replacement body.
Couple of hundred notes from Renault, £30 secondhand off here, or swap yours...
Looks like a nice straight one Tyssen :approve:
Stickers? What?
There's nothing missing from Tyssen's front bumper, and it's definitely not missing any stickers.
As in the silver picture above, what you have is a body coloured recess on the outside, and a black plastic moulded insert...

As above, power-assisted-steering. Was me on RSUK, and SRR is very consistent. Can't say if it's accurate or not, but year after year with no changes it gives very consistent readings.
Don't! I tried it at SRR - Charlie let me detach my CAF and rotate the intake on the airbox to pick-up from...
Whatever you do buy the biggest HHD you can get. As said above, running the games from the disc makes so much noise, so installing the games to run direct from the HDD is the only way to go.
Do that with a few games, download some Arcade classics, install a few CDs of music, download a movie or...
LOL at cat, no residential properties nearby yet there happens to be this feral one sat on the roundabout in the middle of an industrial estate wanting to f*** up the unwary motorist.
I'm with Mace, you were a bit too fruity, got a little out of shape, panicked, then got a lot out of...
PH1 has a far more aggressive front end than PH2, I think it's much better.
Cup wins though, although I would say that as that's all I've ever known :D
Bit of a lottery really, you might find a FSH good condition car that's been driven by a c*ck all its life, so all appears well, but mechanically it's f***ed.
Or you could find one like mine, 115k, one owner from new who's ritually but sympathetically abused it on countless airfield and track...
Howdy :approve:
Sorry to hear baout the bump...I almost did the exact same thing in my Focus at work yesterday, slowly into parking space, and continue going towards next door's compactor. Stopped, got out, no more than 5mm left to go, phew.
It's winter (the annual Cup cull LOL) so before...
I feel ancient by comparison, got mine new in November 2003 LOL
Mine's so good I'll never get rid until it meets the armco.
Welcome...as said already, take it easy over the winter. Slippery roads from all the salt and s*** they throw down make them move about quite a bit.
