I just don't believe this offers protection in a front end smash, its cast alloy, itll shatter in a 10mph bump, I suspect its more to offer protection from the general bits and pieces that can get thrown up while driving, which you may not notice and continue driving with fuel leaking out.
Is not the engine more suited to boost than itb,s ?, surely the long stroke narrow bore, poor conrod length isn't really best for high revs which is what itb,s are all about.
Bought from ebay and a combination of wire brush in drill and soaking in deox c, Got to be pretty much as new, now got to decide what to paint them with, only want to do this once.
I think the non sport phase 1 is the best looking clio, just needs a set of decent sized rims to make it look a bit more beefy, i like the phase 2 rear lights, and dual optics always look better.
Ive also just fitted some black series, when test fitted in a spare subframe the washers fitted easily. Dont know what tools you used but i used a 25 ton press, are the metal parts of the kit fully home in the wishbone.?
Doing the same, my press has broke so I tried making up a tool using a piece of studding, didn't work. I found a heavy hammer with carefull blows as you don't want to be bashing the w/bone, removed all 4 quite easily. Used a short bit of 2 inch pipe to support around the bush and they must be...
Bought what was advertised as a 182 cup subframe. I have noticed that the rear mounting holes, last one either side for the wishbones is larger than the other ones. Is this normal or have they been possibly drilled out for some reason? Thank you.
Thinking about fitting some eibach springs to my phase 1, with 75000 miles approaching I thought I may as well do the shockers while I am there. Are cup shocks , which seem reasonably priced a good idea, only a road car. Thanks
Before buying I did ask k-tec if the twin pass would strangle the engine and reduce power, compared with a straight through. They assured me it would not.
Between having the standard system and the super quiet I fitted, I had a ss system (forget the name) that normally gets good ratings on here for not being too loud, but it was too loud for me at motorway speeds. So its not an overnight comparison but yeah I would say very similar to standard.
Ive asked the same question before, sock was suggested but ive yet to try it, don't use the car every day, think I will try a different material/ knob one day, not too worried about originality
