I've bought a short (10cm) pipe with a T piece as longer bits were silly money. I'll extend it with a longer straight piece as well then. Battery is in the car, but I've still got the relays there, so room is good, but not unlimited.
I'll probably try that route then. It's already got an Espace V6 box. I'll get hold of a small filter then and see what happens, though I might also have a look for a straight bit of tubing with a take off.
What if I stopped for two 25 minute breaks? Would they last the extra 10 mins? Also, I know you've been on here nearly 7 years and have over 10,000 posts, but I don't trust you. Can I Paypal you? Only thing is though, I don't want to pay the fees, would you cover that? I don't want to pay more...
I've been meaning to sort this for ages, but I'm after someone knowledgable to point me in the right direction. I'm after a Cup racer style inlet pipe that will allow the airbox to be mounted sideways. It's for a PH1 though, so i need it to have a take-off for the ICV pipe to go into it. Any...
James, I've just spent my entire Christmas break (on and off) reading all 200 pages of this thread. What a story! A fascinating read from start to finish for various reasons. I'm gobsmacked that you still have a girlfriend and can afford to eat!
The reason I decided to read all of this was...

I like the Mini's. If we are talking a non RS car here i'd choose the Mini all day long. The residual values aren't bad either. Saying that though my parents have a Mini convertable that they've owned since new on a 54 plate. It's been maintained over and above the schedules, but the problems...
It's the boot button itself that is faulty. Water gets in them and corrodes the switch. I noticed mine doing this last week when the boot was going mental and the button kept clicking. Then whenever i started the car the boot would pop open. Finally it stopped working and the boot wouldn't...
I was amazed the Odessey battery had held charge for 2 months! I was fully expecting to have to push it.
Yeah, I like the Albi on the 197. I think it suits it quite well, especially when it's clean. Shame its the wrong time of year for all of that really.
