If you have a cable then it's not fly by wire.
As far as the fault goes, i'd check the earths as suggested above a few times. I'd also replace the pre cat lambda sensor.
Everyone, It'd be nice if this doesn't turn into a 10 page arguement about who has had what done badly by whom. Firstly, everyone has probably heard your story five times already and secondly the thread is about Ellen and Ktec. It seems Sean (I assume) has put a proposal forward to Ellen to...
I'm not mentioning any names but this seems very very fimiliar to what my 197 does. That was mapped by someone familiar. As soon as I can afford it it's getting checked out.
This thread is woefully out of date, I apologise. I'm going to attempt to bring things up to date as the car is about to be used for the first time since the end of August last year. I apologise if you've read, or seen any of this elsewhere.

yeah Craig owns it now. We know each other through Northloop forum. He had it virtually completely resprayed and then magazine featured. Sadly he had a prang in it though and considered binning it, but ended up repairing it. It's half purple now though because of the donor parts.
Back in 2002/3 when the Cups first rolled out the rumour was all the engines were hand picked! I'm not sure that's the case, but I agree with you, I think it's down to the aux setup and the RS inlets. Saying that though my 2 month old Cup with climate put out 173bhp when it was 2 months old...
It ended up about that iirc. I can't remember whether thats the 2004 Spa trip we all did and if the car was in that tune then. We went back a few years later when it was on racecar suspension - that video could've been then.
