Yeah, that's the plan in the long run. There is plenty of cold air getting in there though, the car is thoroughly mucked around with and large bits of trim are missing, including all the arch liners. lol. The exhaust is also wrapped, so hopefully under bonnet heat is as low as it can be...
Thanks Dan. Please do.
I've ordered a large foam Ramair filter as a make-do for the time being. It was only £20 delivered, so i'll give that a whirl. It's long enough to do away with the extra join (the blue pipe) as the metal joiner pipe is pushed in a few cm at the moment - so it'll all be a...
So I've been fiddling around with all of this and I've ended up with sorting it with the longest inlet I can get away with. To do this I've had to do away with the Espace V6 box as its just to big to fit anywhere. If the relay box was elsewhere then it might fit, but the only option with that in...
There's a couple of ways to look at it really. If you have a crash there then i'd rather be strapped in a 6 point harness, in a seat with head protection and a weld in cage, than one without all of that.
The rules are trying to stop the VLN guys testing on a Friday TF session rather than the...
I suspect it'll all start kicking in over Easter, but I also suspect that if you find a quiet weekday when not a lot is happening you'll be fine.
Also applies to removable steering wheels. The cage thing is a grey area again, but it seems all cars with door x bars will be banned. My Clio fails...
Worth noting that all you with rollcages and seats heading out to the ring this year for TF days may run into problems at the barrier if they are of a certain design - that's if you can find insurance that doesn't excluse the Ring anyway!
CCC were fine with me not having a motorsprt license...

IT's up to you how brave you are really. 85% of people are using displays higher than 1024, so from that you can assume that if you design one to that size you'll only piss off 15% of internet users.
Saying that though, if it's a...
I would never pretend to know anywhere near as much as Chip does! :)
Yeah, so buy a small filter for the ICV hose that currently goes into your inlet elbow and then just order up a simple 70mm 90 degree silicone bend to replace the current inlet pipe.
I'm not 100% sure on the internal diameter...
Just to be certain i'd go out and take a picture or something for us if you can (of the engine bay)?
If the pipe does go to the ICV then you can just have a small filter off of that pipe for the ICV. You are then free to have a normal inlet elbow without the smaller pipe coming out of it.
The...
If your car is a phase 1 then the pipe coming from the breather elbow will go to the Idle Control Valve, not the engine breather. Its worth checking that on your car as the solutions are very different.
If your car does have a later setup and that pipe goes to a breather then you can fit a...
I've done this on mine and once all the trim is off it's not too hard to work out what wire does what. We did do it in a bit of a rush though so the connections could be improved as we cut the cars loom and then cut the ph2 loom out of the boot. One day i'll go through and shrink wrap them...
Not sure about that. He talks of an inlet elbow with a breather going into it, on the ph1 that'd be the icv pipe. Though, alternatively you could be right, it all reads a little oddly, even though the English is admirably excellent. Personally I think he's got the two mixed up, the breather on...
The pipe the guy is talking about is for a PH1 though and thats the ICV hose. On the PH2 its a breather pipe isn't it? I've not had a ph2 for a year or so.
I've used Competition Car Insurance for mine this year. Is limited to 1000 miles, but in reality I've used the car on the road 5 times in the last 10 months. It's a complete waste of time really, but you have to have it. I started my ncb from scratch as well with them. I think it's come in at...
