Chip, you've made your point now, but please, for the love of god, give it a rest.

Run out in the Clio this weekend.

I'm well chuffed with it! I'm trying to get hold of the official photographer to get hold of those pics as I forgot to go and see him on the day.

Run out in the Clio this weekend.

I did a trackday at Goodwood this weekend. Fortunatly the weather was great, so we were very lucky. I'm starting to find a few pics online - as usual I left the camera at home! Many thanks to Jason Cornish for the pic!

It's fantastic mate. More so on the motorway actually! I need to sort out the water dripping issue though. Reminded me of my dads Westfield!

She was fine. The car was hardly scratched, all thanks to the flowers! Lol

Yeah, we actually had a small fire where the oil was dripping straight onto the exhaust. We rigged up a catch tank for the second session but the fire had melted the brake servo pipe, so that was fixed for the third session. The car just kept blowing out 100/150ml of oil from then on every session!

The car started blowing oil out of the breathers early on. Initial hunch is that the piston rings need replacing, so fun and games!

I love those wheels lol! thanks for the pic. No worries Mark, it was great to catch up again. The slicks were amazing, I'm not sure if go without them anymore! Great day, but it all goes so quickly and you never get a chance to do, or see everything you want to. We're all heading back up north...

yeah we love ours. Had it for almost three years now. Boot isn't massive but that's it's only negative point really. I'd stick with the SE spec as we found the sport a bit harsh for our needs on B roads. Great car though, it even does 40mpg most of the time.

Yep, that's it. It's quite a relaxed day so feel free to pop over if you see us. On the off chance there is a spare seat you're welcome to jump in.

I drove the car south last weekend because I've got Goodwood booked for this weekend. A few changes on the car since the last update, so i'm hoping for a dry day and looking forward to seeing how she runs.

    197 cams in a 172 cup

I've heard they give ok gains on standard timing as well, but again, everyone you speak to has differing opinions on things like this.

    197 cams in a 172 cup

It depends who you speak to tbh. If you're getting the cambelt done anyway and you don't mind taking the rocker cover off then go for it.

    regarding my car

I feel a bit like Chip. OK I know, those darn people on that popular Clio forum mentioning a cheap clio for sale eh! What a bunch of cnuts. Perhaps you should've done. For starters you wouldn't have had the buyer pulling out after realising the insurance cost. Just a thought... Now i'm no...

Best trackday brake set up advice please !

I've got blues on mine now having used yellow's for years, excellent pads (as were the yellow's really). I tried DS2500's once on a Clio and I'm not a fan. They were terrible after our third straight lap on the Ring and stayed bad until they got dumped in the bin. Never again. I'm not even hard...

Any advice on ITB's ? Worth it or not

I love the noise, but if I wanted power i'd have turbo'd the car. I probably should've done that anyway, but, oh the noise.

    Urgent, please save me...

Sounds like an immoboliser issue - or the battery is dead.

Unlucky buddy, try and enjoy Croft though. I was hoping to pop down at lunch but it's just too far to get there and back in my lunch break. At least it might stay dry today!

    172 ph1 or 172 cup

I've got both. Cup for me please if I was to choose one. Not a massive amount of difference between one and the other though (except one has a god awful dash)!
