    Cheap Alloys Anyone?

They look half decent to me. I'm pretty sure mine are going to look crap, but for £83 I don't really care!

    Cheap Alloys Anyone?

They've taken the money for mine but not dispatched yet.

    Cheap Alloys Anyone?

Yep, me too. For £83 a set delivered they can be my track wheels.

    Cheap Alloys Anyone?

Anybody find any that might fit a Clio yet (in 15")? I'm assuming the centre bore can be adjusted with spigot rings?

    Camshaft seal is leaking??

It's quite easy to push them in too far and they leak. Dephaser seal is a cam seal.

    My new toy (ford content)

Lovely car. Can't stand the wheels, so pleased you've ordered the others! Very jealous.

    My Friday car, a Subaru.

Yes, the Legacy has 3 cats (one for each cylinder bank and then one where the pipes meet in the middle). They fabricated a pipe from the third cat back to the backboxes. The pipe is in a Y shape if you can imagine it. To build, fit and fit my supplied backboxes was £300. H&S wanted £360 for the...

    My Friday car, a Subaru.

Thanks chaps. Yeah it's quite a nice thing and you can get a load in the back of it which is useful when you buy as much Clio tat as I do.

    My Friday car, a Subaru.

Thought i'd update this in a spare 10 mins. I've still got this and, to be honest, I'm quite enjoying it. The big downside is that it's quite thirsty if you just use it locally. It's too be expected, but an average of about 22mpg on my commute to work (ish) is a pain. I did do a long run in...

    Is this right? Cambelt tensioner

Was the tensioner brand new, or has it been used before?

I.D. of fuel pipe going to fuel rail

Does anyone know the internal diameter of the fuel pipe going to the fuel rail and also the length of the pipe from the bulkhead to the rail? I want to order up a piece of braided pipe to replace the OE pipe thats been cut and joined. If anyone has any suggestions on the best place to order...

    Bargain or Ticking Time Bomb?

It was an 04 plate BG 182. Was taxed, Mot'd, had history but needed cambelt (as car is 10 years old this year). 2 owners, 95k. £995. Looked clean and in decent condition. Non cup packed car.
  18. jon_r

    Bargain or Ticking Time Bomb?

Yes it was good value. Looked to be in a good condition and it had few previous owners. There was potential to do the belts and sell it on for a small profit, or just use as a cheap car for a while.

    Bargain or Ticking Time Bomb?

I was willing to pay in full over the phone without seeing it. I've already got train tickets to London tomorrow anyway. I think i missed out by about 15 mins. LOL.

    Car is sold. :(

    Bargain or Ticking Time Bomb?

Probably, they're getting banned if that's the case. I even offered to leave a deposit over the phone, but fair play to the guy, he said this other guy was on his way. He's calling me back if the other guy doesn't have it. I'd say the chances of him not having it are slim to none.

    Bargain or Ticking Time Bomb?

Somebody is on their way to see it now. If they say no then i'll have it. Damn them!!

    BMW inside.

I started to refurb my wheels when I had mine. Split them all down and then realised life was too short and went and bought some M3 wheels.

Good value assuming it doesn't need a steering rack, lower balljoints and a gearbox!

Anyone for a short wheelbase S2000

Very similar to the old Leon joke we used to say at the Ring years back. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, boost, 400hp, wheelspin, accident. I keep reading up on S2000's. I really fancy one to replace the Clio.

    Oil leaking

I'd agree with what's said above, at that age i'd just keep it topped up. The leak could well be from behind the pulleys, mine was doing that and the oil was running down the back of the engine.
