I'll prob see you at a meet sometime so I'm sure that will happen sooner or later! (The photos not me giving you bits off my car :p)
See reply to this:
Close! Canon 5D MkIII with a Sigma 50mm 1.4, f/2, Hoya HD CPL, natural light (if you exclude the lights on the car!) and processed in ACR7...
Previously I'd only stood around at the side of a dual carriageway for an hour or so, this was my first time at a track. Was shooting at 1/320 to start with but decided to see how low I could go so dropped to 1/80. Most not that great but somehow managed to get this one:
Couple more. Really should have cleaned all the bugs off the front :o Cloned them out in the first pic here but took ages so didn't bother with the other!
Reasons for getting a 200 are in a previous post, mainly the ability to put a CL10 plate on it - car needs to be 2010 or newer and the last 197s are 2009 so not possible.
You've kinda answered your own question too, the 200 is a better car (albeit not by that much!) and sometimes better trumps...
The 1.4 was £360, more than the Canon 1.4, but not as much as the 1.2L. It's great value but the quality control is a bit iffy so you might get a couple of duffers before you find a good one. I think I got lucky as mine seems to be OK.
The first four were with multiple points, the two with the...
No, they need a whole new loom as all the wiring is different. Projectors or the standard lights are just a plug-in swap. I drive my brothers 197 (LY one in my other thread in here) which has xenons and I reckon the difference isn't that noticeable. For me it's not worth the hassle or expense.
No, 200 and 197 wings are the same. Only the bumper, bumper grilles and lights are different. Fog lights might be too, not got that far yet, but headlights use the same connectors.
It's a 197 bumper I bought to go on. Even as a 200 owner I'm under no illusion that the 197 front end is much nicer!
This way I get all the 200 refinements and rear end, with the 197 front, but mainly a car new enough to have a CL10 plate on, which will never be possible with a 197 (unless it's...
Yep, that was me. I'd not long had it then. Missed this year's meeting unfortunatly!
Regarding plans for this I was going to get a re-trim but decided I'd rather have a new camera, I do have this to get painted at some stage:
So projectors probably be on the agenda, but not 200 ones!
Camera is a Canon EOS 5D MKIII
First four are with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS:
1/125 sec @ f/4, ISO 125
1/125 sec @ f/4, ISO 100
1/250 sec @ f/11, ISO 100
1/500 sec @ f/8, ISO 100
Last two are with a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM, with Hoya HD CPL:
1/60 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 100
1/100 sec @ f/2...
So that makes the last three spots we knew about - 2010 Boxster S, 997 Sport Classic and 997 GT2 RS, with the final car being the 1973 Carrera RS.
Either they haven't had time to do the newer stuff, or they are saving them for future DLCs?
Out of the four left there's really only one - T10 showed us the 911 Sport Classic and the Boxster right when they first announced this pack, plus the Week In Review column for this week lists the 911 GT2 RS as one of the new Rivals Challenges, so that must be included too.
So that's three...
Shame about the Cup spoiler, also the performance stats are a bit off, lower handling rating than the 197? That's not right!
Biggest problem for me is that you can't put a front plate on it as the whole black area is unpaintable :(
Another 1st Easy one plus a couple in a DHL paint which is an improved version of a scheme I saw on a Ferrari.

Did some more paintwork yesterday and today. Some inspired by Tamiya RC cars and a couple with the logo of the company my brother works for. Logo type not quite right but didn't want to spend to long on it.

Bit late on the scene with this. Not had a console since the PS2 but the allure of this game proved too much and I bought a 360 just after xmas. Broke my elbow a couple of weeks ago and been off work so plenty of time and not able to do much more than move fingers and thumbs.
Getting the hang...

No need to get the hose and power washer out.
Again, don't do it.
You could probably get a similar effect with CSS3 transforms: http://24ways.org/2010/intro-to-css-3d-transforms
This would be accessible, standards based and wouldn't need any plug-ins.
