It's been a fair while since I've updated here as I've been getting information and posting elsewhere for a while and doing ~235 hours a month at work so between that and the girlfriend, time to work on the car has been scarce... never mind post about it! I do truly want to keep this thread...
Steve you can do this all online using Google docs (and Google drive). It's safe, completely free and you probably won't need to install anything if you web browser etc is all up to date.
You use the 'save as' feature and select your file type. Excellent for converting files into PDFs, older...
Bit more progress, albeit it minimal. Found time to take a second look at my solution for powering the footwell LEDs as the weathers not been good for doing the cat.
Previously the wiring was soldered directly to the light unit meaning it couldn't be removed from the car without snipping the...
Get these mate: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221573939971?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
2 x 1KG bags, they're quite big. I bought two to put in my car just whilst it's still sat off road and not in daily usage as the windscreen was getting condensation building inside...
Stereo is great - though the Bluetooth doesn't always auto connect when I get into the car.
I play my music from an old iPod permanently wired to the back through to the glove box, so couldn't really say about the Bluetooth audio, sorry. But with the Bluetooth not always auto connecting it's...
I found the washer! Moved the car by hand and sifted through the gravel. I came to the conclusion I could probably just use any suitably sized washer but... I'm a bit pedantic like that.
Due to the snow/lots of rain lately I've not really done anything outside on it, so instead I've made a bit...
Just went to stick the cat back on and that turned out to be a cluster f**k! Haha. Dropped one of the washers in the gravel for the sprung bolts. It's the plain one with a notch out of it.. looks like the middle ones in this picture:
Unsure if I actually 100% need it, as I can't seem to find...
I think I'll just pull the injector electric plugs out one by one and listen to see if it changes or stays the same! I've got a torque wrench but it just saves the hassle of taking the plugs out first as well! Thanks for that link that's really useful! Will be careful and check the O-Ring.
The...
Well...
I took the car off again today. In some sense it's good news. The cats actually fine. That however has just served to piss me off! It now needs reattaching which to be honest I've always found a ball ache on my own on a gravel drive with stands. I'm going to check if the decat pipe I...
Worth reading the rest of this thread if you're considering using an RSTuner. Certainly worth reading from the post linked onward IMO: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/rs-tuner-98-ron-review.761833/#post-10538126
Bought them off eBay I believe bud!
Haven't had a chance to do anything sadly. I literally haven't fixed the cat even yet. I've been fitting a kitchen for my Dad in his rental flat. Never done it before so it took me a fair while to learn all the new skills/figure everything out! It's all...
Thanks mate!
Currently a bit of a WIP again... I'm in the process of changing the needles colour. It's a bit trial and error as I've not seen it done before so don't really have anything to go on! All I can say so far is don't paint them a navy blue colour. The light output from the SMD's...
Assuming you're only interested in suspension etc, I would have thought wishbones are probably a good candidate. Genuine parts come with the ball joint included and can be had for about £90 for the pair at the moment I think. Not mega cheap, but not super dear either.
If any bushes, Dogbone if...
BiggRed kits are great if you fancy having a go yourself. They seem to get very positive reviews for their in house refurbs too. They're certainly very good with customer service based on my dealings with them. If I wanted some rebuilt (by someone else), then they are who I would go to...
Yeah, I put most of it to the left next to the airbag and then some below CC panel. I had wiring for one of those Alpine power pack things to deal with as well as a stalk adaptor!
Do you know what year/model they came from? How much did they set you back inc. subframes etc? I quite like them. Nicer than the accord ones now I've had a google!
I have a set of standard cams you can have cheap as chips mate, they're sitting around collecting dust. My car's a road car with 428's in and the standards will never go back in. That way you can sell the 428's and probably get your upgrade for free. PM me.
There is a whole world of room behind the rear trim. You can even get right into the back corners of the arches pretty much.
My recommendation though would be the Alpine SWE 1200 under seat sub. I have the Alpine PWE-V80 and it is too big for under the front seat. The SWE-1200 fits perfectly...
Will do ASAP bud!
I really want to, I love them haha. I just want to get some spacers on first as the ET is slightly different to the Turini's I had and they don't fill the arches enough for my tastes as standard! Going to get the PMS 10mm stub axle spacer kit...
Nearly forgot!
Swapped alloys with Spinksy the other week - they're on the car and look fantastic. I'm in the middle of sourcing spacers for them, so I don't want to put pics up just yet, but sooooooon! In the meantime I also picked up some new rubber to wrap round them. I've opted for Michelin...
The replacement catalytic converter has collapsed already. Not happy, £60 down the tubes and it's done less than 1k miles since I've had it. I bought another one but Parcel Force decided to drop it off a building or something because it came with half the flange snapped off and it's clearly...
