Another mk4 owner  they seem to slowly be winning people over, although if I recall the mk3 also needed some time to convince on here.
We’ve got the same spec but I went for the BOSE and normal seats (not a fan of leather in general and convinced myself unheatted seats are lighter...
You’d be surprised at how cheap they are, I think a full set of trophy shocks are around £300 from renault - going from my 172 which had cup shocks and cooksports, the dampers and springs are rock hard on the trophy (but far more compliant over pot holes,
Probably from the hydraulic bumps)
Finally a MK4 project on here! You could fit the Trophy shocks and springs to bring it down a little (20mm front and 10mm rear - 40% stiffer spring). If the handling is anything like the Trophy's out of the box - I'd not touch it. Might be worth looking into a trophy quick rack for the list of...
The JC5-089 was what originally came with your car, that's what I would try and source - pretty sure there's some for sale on here if you can find somebody willing to ship.
If you’ve got the facelift trophy, be warned the gloss black on the alloys scratches from a stiff breeze, be sure to use the softest brushes you can when cleaning them. I found this out the hard way :(
@blito2790 I’d say with almost certainty the cars got the wrong gearbox fitted currently. The 172 PH1 originally came with a JC5-089 - I’d say from the ratios you’ve currently got a JC5-126 from a kangoo fitted (something with long ratios but speedo drive fitted as the PH1 obtains it’s speedo...
It’s not mine no, but that’s typical of the 172, I’ve had 5 172’s over the years which have been pretty similar.
I’d recommend checking in the bay and seeing what series of JC gearbox you have fitted. It sounds like it may have been changed in the past for an incorrect box with extremely long...
You'll hit around 110 mph in 4th gear and leading into 5th you'll be doing around 125mph at 5500RPM.
If you want to increase overall acceleration, you can get a diff and change the FD, or you can throw in the 5th gear set (Which I believe is very easy to fit as the gearbox can stay on) and this...
Somethings not right with your gearbox then, a PH1 in 4th at 6000 rpm is just shy of 100 mph
What speed are you doing at the limit of the other gears ? from memory it should be along the lines of:
1: 40 mph
2: 65 mph
3: 95 mph
4: 110 mph
5: ~150 mph
I had the ratios and FD somewhere for a...
I'm assuming you mean 135 in 5th as I'm sure it's 110 on the limit in 4th ?

Naturally it'll impact cruising MPG on the motorway
The RS3’s are cracking cars are pretty rare as you say, engine note is special and they are unbelievably quick off the line. Suffer from understeer from what I’ve experienced so a rear ARB helps, pretty tuneable platform by all accounts.
I went from a 172 PH1 to a 220 Trophy, put my findings in this thread, might find it useful.

Loving it ! I’ve got the trophy and much like you, I don’t regret my choice (although I do miss the F4R a little)
When you removed the acoustic valve, did it remove the buzz/whine from the cabin before you start it up ?
Also where did you get the spoiler replica, id thought about one as it...
Appreciate I'm out on a limb here but does anybody know the engine oil capacity for a 2014 999cc twingo (mk3) ? I've been traversing the interwebs for a reliable source and yet to find one. Apparently these engines are sensitive to overfilling with them being at a strange angle.
Cheers
I'd go with the 200t by a small margin, I've caught up with 182's quite easily (All be it mines a trophy)
The launch control on these do work, all be in paling in comparison to 4wd, I've had 6.1s using launch and without it's closer to 6.9.
