Perfect. That's easy enough then. I was thinking I might have to find the live to the coil and bring that through the bulkhead and connect that up to the switch and the ignition live to the other.
Yes that's the one. I just need to find out the best place to cut into the wires for the ignition then I guess. Will putting the ignition feed from the original key switch ignition barrel suffice?
I bought a bog standard cheap battery isolator cut off. It hasn't arrived yet but does anyone know of a guide of the best route for the cables and T pull and how to mount the external pull and avoiding the wiper mechanism (other than going single wiper)? A
So the wiring colours and best snip...
Oh yes there is loads of them that show the bubble but also show degrees. Worth having a real level at hand too so you can calibrate it correctly.
And you don't even need to download an app as its already built into the compass...
Thought this should be easily available for anyone looking for the rules and regulations for MSA events this year:

Sticky perhaps?
Hopefully it will be just a case of deeper air filter and back plate. The K-Tec install videos show the slam panel being removed which I intend to do but it also say the radiator has already been modified. Is it a must to fit a different radiator if putting 90mm trumpets on? I have the golf...
In regards to the roll cage you can have a safety devices cage with removable single door bars and removable rear diagonal and harness bar so can still be used with the back seats. Just an option if you want a compromise.
That narrows it down then. Either a flat backing plate with deep pipercross filter or 50mm back box and shallower filter.
I think the back box would be easier to drill out than the plate but Jenvy may sell the plate already drilled to Clio spec if I ask them nicely. I don't think it is listed...
Thanks for those pictures. I think I linked to the Jenvy back box and shallower filter earlier today. This would be a great option but I need to speak to Jenvy as I was confused by their website.
To me it reads like you have to buy the box for £52 and then another £75 to have the holes...
Just been reading about the Pipercross filter and they recommend 20mm.
I am looking at the C604D which should be fine providing I can shut the bonnet. All I need to do is see if I can get the right base plate from Jenvy that the pipercross will fit on or get a blank pipercross base plate and...
I was just planning on putting them over the trumpets with as much space between the end of the trumpet and inside of the sock as possible and tye wrapping them on? Was that a 2bhp loss from a sausage filter to socks or straight from no filter to socks? If the second did you lose any power...
Chris from EFI said I could be best running these ITG filter socks due to lack of space but I have read bad things about them on this forum. Any thoughts?
Sorry to go way back a few years but do you have any suggestions of the best way to drill the holes neatly in the bonnet and not make a mess of it. Yours looks very neat and I am in the same situation with ITB's and a carbon bonnet?
Also how did you go about getting the ITB air filter back...
I would think there needs to be some space as if the distance was too small it would cause a restriction for the air getting to the filter. I have seen cars with holes cut in the bonnet actually but not sure I would want to go down that route as making it look tidy once you have splintered the...
When I took the Megane to Knockhill I ran the standard 19" Bridgestone Potenza RE050A still with the 40+ psi in them from the motorway drive up there and nothing but a rage buggy was quicker that day. The only thing I found is that it was wearing the edges of the front tyres but other than that...
Thanks Tom. I have been looking through a lot of other ITB threads and managing to piece together so information. You said in another thread about ideally needing 20mm from the end of the trumpets to the inside of the filter and then 20mm from the outside of the filter to the bonnet. I have...
Has anyone ever cut away the bonnet to fit longer trumpets? I have seen photos of bonnets with circular holes drilled in it. would this help air flow if the filter was too close to the bonnet?
Thanks for replying.
K-tec sent me the Program file for Gen Tuner so I am downloading that now. That just leaves me needing the cable. Would you be willing to sell it or just lend it? I think I will only need it once to get initial set up doing and then I plan to take it to EFI to get mapped.
For what? All year, Winter, Race, Track? Without looking through your build thread I will assume you are asking in regards to a general road car so I will say Rainsport 3.
