My cup has just started to do that as well... pretty dodgy if you forget to pump them before hitting the main road! My pads and discs seem fine, so will try bleeding them at some point. Can't see how it would suddenly start though?!
You'll realise that they're not that good once you've put the new ones in... and they're easy to fit (if they're just the top of dash jobs?). Twist the cover and lift off, and a simple swap over... that was on a ph2 though and to be honest not sure if it's the same set up on a ph1?
Could always just get this pioneer set... I've got them and they're good for the money. The tweeters are a lot better than standard! Then just replace the rears...

I know, but it's just the caf issue... I don't really want to remove the guard rail or move the bat etc, and there isn't enough room to run it down past the arch. So it'd just be open behind the light... whereas the 2 smaller cafs would fit through and down, if that makes sense?!

I've had a look around but can't seem to find this info out... does anyone know the diameters of the intakes on the standard ph1 172 airbox?
Just trying to decide between the v6 and ph1 box, so wanted to see if the difference in surface area was worth the extra caf fitting trouble...
