172? Non sport? hard to tell as it looked liked a sport with a non sport rear bumper lol. But saw the CS stickers. I was the silver ph1 in front :rasp:
Call me biast but i quite like the dash, possibly even prefere it...
Simple and functional works nicely in a dash.
A few updates coming soon, Cup spoiler arrived this evening and hopefully off for painting early December ;)
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news
I was in France on the weekend and saw a black Clio 4 parked up, went and had a nosey.
I can confirm it looks much better in the flesh
Chip you like a good tease. I might even treat london to a viewing next Ace Cafe, but then again November is very late in the year for this to come out the garage!
Well i cant comment on someone elses experience, he had the decentcy to try and keep it off the forums why is everybody so interested on jumping on the band wagon?
If they were to ever mess me about then i'll be the first to moan, i luv a good slagging off as you all know, until then im all for...
Using 95 octane fuel out of someone's jerry can thinking it was 99 which it is mapped on, my mistake and like a t**t I paid the price. Standalone ECUs have much less to nil detonation identification and ignition r****d.
Cracked one of the piston rings in half lol but thanking my lucky star...
No gains to be had, if you had the 1.4 engine you'd have more options as its 'basically' the same lump as the F4R exterior wise, much easier to convert induction kits.
Car seems to have sunk a little on new coilovers now, looks much lower than in the pics :)
Went over to france for the weekend and it performed faultlessly and was a joy to tour with!
May possibly fit then but i doubt the inlet on your manifold will even begin to pair up with the larger TB. Couldnt say if it'd run properly either.
Lots of nice, well thought out 1.2 inductions kits on the market though.
Well it only comes out on sunny days and seeing with the year we've had thats why it took near 7 months to run in lol! Thats what keeps it looking 'damn good' ;)
Does the 1.2 have a side or rear mounted TB as standard?
My old 1.4 clio had the throttle body facing the bulkhead so it was impossible to make any 2 litre induction kit fit...
I don't consider it finished until the longer trumpets are on lol. Very happy with the figures, with the VVT delete I thought it'd be dead below 5k but the power delivery is so smooth now it's a big improvement. The torque curve also holds high for a long time, will get graphs up in Jan.
Also...
Only speaking from my personal experience TDF have done two of my clios ( 182 and 197 ) with AT throttle bodies and the conversion was perfect. Only ever get commented on the tidy installation and the performance of the kits is more than satisfying. From my opinion I wouldnt trust anyone by TDF...
Quick update: following the engine going bang in march it had nitrous removed, high comp forged pistons, cup racer con rod bearings and Catcams 403s with VVT delete and Cat vernier pulleys.
Just finished running in last week and was mapped for final setting at 230.9bhp & 188lb/ft. Now will be...
Used to listen to your advice, somewhere along the line though we seem to have fallen out. The forums no such place to discuss that though...
@ Danny/Mitch: I see what you mean but back to original problem I fail to see how it'd make a high pitched whine at high rpm. This is definitely a...
I thought the B14s were far too stiff for daily use. The KW V1s are softer but more comfortable plus the Bilsteins are being rebuilt and put on vickys car to replace her knackered ktecs.
Only reason i got AmD to fit them rather than myself was it needed tracking after anyway and they have the...
What I love about you Danny, never any advice just shoot you down criticism lol.
Belts defo not too tight scope, if anything I've got it a little looser than preferred just to be sure.
Reckoning it could be the alternator as there's small resistance and grinding if I spin with the belt off...
Release bearing sits idle on shaft when the clutch is engaged? ( Ie not spinning ) but when its depressed it releases the gearbox from rotation so any faulty bearing stops spinning and the noise goes away lol?
I reckon its new gearbox, clutch and driveshaft time :p
Right here we go anyway, took it down to AmD Essex Wednesday for coilovers to be fitted, the Bilsteins were knocking so bad i thought they were gonna snap! So ride height was raised a little bit, fed up of catching the bumper on speed bumps and ripping the cat off on pot holes! Also makes it...
You dont have to weld them in, they advise to for track and race use though. The sleeve is a pretty tight fit anyway.
I've done it with a hydraulic press but they came out quite easily, i reckon with some heat and a big hammer they could be perswaded...
