Update for anyone else searching this fault, it was the socket itself at fault. New item from renault @ £35 I believe, fitted it in the car park very simple. Works a treat now!

Hydraulically adjusts the position of the cam sprocket in relation to the camshaft to either advance or r****d inlet valve timing. Think of it like VTEC in its simplest sense.

I had VVT delete on my old 197 with a CatCams vernier pulley. If anything the power delivery was smoother and on track it felt and revved much better.

25bhp wet shot of nitrous, roughly £400 for the system and a full bottle will have an endurance of around 8 minutes ( 11lb bottle ). At a mere 25bhp it'll be more than safe for that engine aswell.

I usually camp but can't this year so up for a convoy, as long as everybody is actually going to leave on time for once instead of waiting another hour for one single plumb that isn't even going to turn up. And no 50mph speed limit like the convoy to CSS last year please!

I ran progressive 50bhp shots in an old 182 of mine for a good year and it never gave me any trouble. Pound for bhp still one of the best mods out there, turned a standard 182 into an Evo destroyer! All my hardware was WON though.
