Was at Breakfast Club at Goodwood. Supercar Sunday. Saw a few of these Aston GT8. Never seen before intresting bodywork with intresting kink behind wheelarch. Couple of 911s. Yellow RUF and black Restomod. (amongst the sea if GT3's. And was a silver porsche doing a nice job of getting a ltd...
Loving that a MG Montego can share space with a Lotus 250 Cup.
I wanted a MG Maestro ( the 1.6) as my first car. Dad talked me down to MG Metro.
Valuable lesson.
Never listen to other peoples advice when buying cars.
Anybody used these?
I just got a NC MX5. Its a 25th Anniversary. But its only done 4k miles in 7.5 years and I was told it had never seen rain. And underside looks like it just rolled off the production line.
Now its life is about to change. It will still be garaged when not in use and will...
Sorry about your dilemma. I live on an unadopted road and once every 6m someone goes down it to quick and gets a suspension compression at point where there is a prominent flint.
If Insurance route the best?
Sounds like a pretty tidy car that probably appreciating a little over the coming...
I did a recon on my last driving route on my bike.
Interestingly I found two separate paint spills in about a mile of each other (with tyre tracks). Then went to Morrisons there was another in the car park (with footprints).
The second still had the lid sitting in it!
Found the tin sitting on...
Got back home today at 15:30.
Had driven through some white gloss somewhere. All up the side of the car. Not a good look on LY.
Nightmare.
Cleaning it up with soapy water & a rag as still wet. Then went over with Autoglym SR polish.
Worst pat was the car was actually quite dirty & gritty in...
Got my daughter a Samsung A12 last year they are about £130. You can get a SIM only for about £4. Pop a big SD card in it take Photos & Videos as much as want. Mostly uses for watching Youtube & video chats since she stated secondary school.
Luckily as family we are not into Smartphones and...
I had Cup-2 on my Megane. They were terrible in Winter. Not that great in summer for normal road use.
Changed to a PS4S. Much better all but allrounder. But I would guess that people still perceive this as being a bit at extreme end?
On my wifes STI widetrack I tried to maintain OEM original...
That is weird. Been away from them for a few years. Got an ok offer at time of cancelling.
But then about 2 weeks later got offered TV package which was about £20 for £1 for a year.
Maybe they are short of bodies? Covid? Resignation? WFH?
Nice collection.
But why so many the same? Variety the spice of life? Surely would be better to have an R26R & a 275 Trophy-R rather than 2 X R26R. Are the 225's worth having once you have a R26?
Was the R32 not always pretty good on throttle response. So that initial snap as you put your foot down. Obviously not that sustained shove that these big torque cars.
There is no perfect car. V8's lack in torque for what is a chunky car and are getting old. S55 sound poor but have the torque with a little less weight to haul.
Better to have that valid reason before you buy it than after & you are ruined.
Now is a sweet spot on some cars if you can get in & out with minimal/no depreciation. Usually the biggest expense in owning a car.
If Tax, Insurance, warranty, consumables is £2500 a year on top of £5k...
If you are going 340i route.
Need to go touring.
Then you have a reason for why you did not buy an M.
I still want to scratch B58 itch. But probably go M140i for smaller lighter package ( & manual availability)
Fair enough. I have always liked the idea and a few blokes at work use them as there only vehicle.
I guess they are small enough to be a daily or ok on tight roads.
However the trade off I guess is less space. But great for 1-2 people.
