I had the Greenstuffs with Brembo HC discs and managed a couple of trackdays without any dramas - better then OEM IMHO.
I'm running same discs (although they've been replaced) and Redstuff pads now. I'd say these are much better then the greenstuffs - far lest dust and no brake fade, although...
This afternoon driving through Selbourne from Alton. I was in the Ford Focus with "Police" on it ;)
I must say it looked like a very nice example.
Yeah the car has finally gone in for repairs!
I have to say that Corsa is NOT something I either like or would normally be seen dead in - it's a truly hateful car!
When I drove to the 'Ring, we just stuck bits of electrical tape on strategic points on our headlights to stop them blinding "Ze Germans" and those cheese eating surrender monkeys. I wouldn't go to Renault - they'll only charge you a fortune to do the work, then charge you again when you come home.
It would be interesting to see if, when you have a bike carrier on, if you can still open the tailgate fully without it hitting the bike carrier.
On my 182, I have the Renault bars with a Thule Velovise carrier. If I don't move the front bar as far forward as possible, the tailgate won't open...
Ultimately, I can't see Renault helping out anyone outside their warranty period.
So that leaves us with three options:
1) New aftermarket steering wheel, whereby you would lose your airbag and cruise control buttons.
2) New Reanult steering wheel (sounds expensive).
3) Current wheel...
A couple of months ago I noticed that mine has also started this bubbling/melting nonsense. Mines an 04 plate with 64000. I must say Mark's is the worst I think I've ever seen!
Anybody know how much a new 182 front bumper and a new nearside xenon headlamp unit would set me back?
I can't seem to find the parts and their relevant prices on the tinterweb anywhere.
I should image the insurance companies would like to know about a mod like this, especially where it involves the removal of the airbag.
I'm sure I've seen aftermarket wheels with airbags in, but they were hideously expensive.
Shame about the cruise control though. Whilst some obviously...
Sounds like you've got your moneys worth from the forum then! :)
Just out of interest, what have you done with your cruise control switches? Did you ditch them or manage to fit them to the new wheel?
IIRC Renault have changed the clamp they used for the mid-section to cat join. It used to be a circular one with one bolt. It's now in 2 halves with two bolts, which is a better, more secure design.
