I have this problem too. It only seems to happen when I put the car in the garage at night and lock it. I think I'll try waiting a few seconds longer before locking it and see if that helps.
Try a patio/driveway cleaner from somewhere like B&Q.
Remember to refill you gearbox with oil, as you've obviously lost some when your driveshaft fell out.
Yeah let us know what happens with this matey. I can't stand people like that. You can guarantee he won't be giving it the large when he's nicked for a public order offence for the way he spoke to you!
I have to agree with others in here - having lights on during the day seriously reduces your chance of people pulling out in front of you, not looking properly etc. That's why motorcyclists do it.
Has anyone noticed that the new Audi A5 coupes have daytime running lights at the front - those...
Are these foglights the same? I need to replace my offside foglight as it got smashed by a car in front the other day.
I've seen some for sale on eBay for the new clio (197) and they look very similar to those for sale for the 182. Question is, are they the same/will they fit my 182?
They are robbing bar-stewards. Crash with RAC cover and they'll recover you no probs. Crash with AA cover and they'll kick you in the wedding vegetables just when you need it the least!
Hope the damage wasn't too bad matey and you get it sorted soon as. :)
I've been toying with the idea of removing my white stripes from my RB 182. I'm not sure I want the car to be so easily recognisable anymore.
The car is a 2004 model, and has had the stripes on since day one AFAIK. If I remove them, am I going to be left with two silly bits of paintwork that...
The rubber mounts on my hangers have perished. When Mike fitted my Milltek, he popped a hexagonal nut under each mount and tied them in with cable ties - worked a treat - and cheaper than new mounts too. :)
^ As above.
It's going to be pricey at your age tbh. I'm 26 and pay £385 fully comp :)
Try Adrian Flux, or Greenlight Insurance. Both are very good and extremely competitive - none of that comparison website nonsense either!
Spotted entering the Pets At Home car park this morning, as I drove out. It had a private plate and the most miserable looking woman driving it I've ever seen!
I bought one of these at the end of 2005. Its called a "deflector" and is part number 6000073775. It was £13.59 inc. VAT, although this was sometime ago. Hope this helps :)
My 04 plate 182 is on 62,000 now. Still runs as good as the day I bought it in 2005, a year old with 12,000 on the clock. The steering wheel has started to go a bit rough on one side and there's a few tar spots on the lower halves of the doors, but other than that I really can't complain!
I did similar damge to the underside of my car when I hit a Pheasant.
I think that they plastic undertray you're refferring to is the bit between the bumper and the sump cover. This bit of undertray appears to deflect air entering the lower grill through the radiator and stop it going around...
On Saturday evening about 21:30 ish. I overtook you and another car, then you overtook and followed at speed before I turned off and you flashed me! Always nice to have a little play on a great road! :race:
