Ignore the picture. The one you receive is a perfect fit. I can't seem to paste the link from my iPhone for some reason. Search for "Renault Clio 1998-2005 Tailored Boot Mat In Black". It's £13.85
I got a replacement from RenParts for about £20. Annoyingly, I had a bottle of oil leak out on it the other day, so bought a new carpet mat custom made to fit the boot off eBay for about £13. The eBay jobby is just like a floor mat, whereas the OEM part has the sound deadening material on the back.
I didn't think they were being released in 182-friendly sizes?
How did you find the asymmetric 2s?
Edit: Just seen your avatar and noticed you're not in a 182 - sorry!
Thought I'd start looking after the outside of the Clio after spending months being unwashed after various mishaps. Ordered some Meguiar's NXT metal polish and some of those polishing cones to try and spruce up the tailpipes as they are pretty manky. Also got some Meguiar's tyre gel stuff too...
Finally took the wipers, scuttle and washer bottle off and this was the problem. The washer tube passes through the bulkhead and has a sleeved grommet that had been pushed through, letting water through. All fixed now and no more leaks! Thanks @welshname
Right. Update time. I finally got some nice weather and time away from the kids to have a look at this. Took wipers off, scuttle panels, washer bottle out (but still connected up). Watering can confirmed leak was coming from somewhere in that area. Eventually I found the tube that goes from the...
Passenger side carpet is all pulled up. Foam underlay is out and dry in the house. I have a sponge in the footwell for when it rains. I'll check the wheel arch liner but I feel it's somewhere up the top of the bulkhead. Have heard something about where the rear washer jet tube passes through...
I think it's coming from higher up behind the dashboard. There's a water stain where it's been running down the bulkhead. I don't think it's the door wiring plug (but haven't ruled it out) and it's too high for it to be the sill drains.
I know it's been done to death on here, but I'm posting as I'm out of ideas and need the help of the collective CS mind.
I have water in my passenger footwell. I've pulled up the carpets and it's coming from the bulkhead in the corner near the door.
It doesn't have a sunroof. It's been to...
Washed the Clio today for the first time since October. Windscreen has been resealed but water is STILL leaking down the inside of the bulkhead into the passenger footwell! So pee'd off with the car I feel like getting shot of it now.
Had my windscreen removed and resealed today as there was a tiny leak down the left hand side that was flooding the passenger footwell every time it rained. We shall see if it solves the problem.
I had the SERV light on the other day. When I turned the engine off and on again, the LCD display was flashing "OIL". Topped up the oil - problem solved. Worth a look maybe?
I'm led to believe that it's the sealant that bonds the screen to the car that has failed. It's booked in to have the screen removed and resealed next month. It's a bit more than my screen excess but hopefully they should be able to sort it.
Connects2 do a box that plugs into the standard HU that allows you to play your iPod/iPhone as if it were a CD Changer. With a 30 pin to lightning adapt or you could play digital/internet radio through it.
Picked up the Clio from Mike @Rentech after it needed a couple of bits for its MOT. He finally found the source of my footwell water problem too, so happy days.
Update: the car has been into Rentech for its MOT. I got Mike to look for the leak whilst it was there. Turns out it's the windscreen seal somewhere on the left hand side. Not sure if I can get it resealed via the windscreen cover on the insurance yet.
I removed the foam underlay from my passenger side footwell, rinsed it in bleach and water in the bath. It's now drying out on the airer in the house. The footwell carpet is all propped up off the floor with various bits of Clio trim to try and air it out. The bulkhead sound deadening has foam...
If it's the join between panels, it's a hairline crack. Our old Toyota has the same problem and the boot has a small amount of water in it. I sealed under the gutter strips with silicone but it still never really fixed it.
I have heard that occasionally they can leak from where the wing/three-quarter panel joins the roof panel, under the guttering strips. Worth a look maybe?
I'd be interested to see how you get on with these and what your first impressions of them are. I've been looking at these as my PE3s are low and they seem like cracking value. I'm just worried that moving away from Michelins might mean losing that direct steering feel that makes the Clio so great.
