Tyres x 4, What we Recommending these days??

Cheers all for the replies, just been pricing some up and there is roughly £100 diff between the tyres mentioned compared to PS2's - cheapest for 4 fitted is £504. I know I said couldn't stretch to Michelins but I thought there would be a bigger difference in price If truth be told! I remember...

Rear bulb holder issue, brake light out

The old bulb that was in won't go back in! So it rules that out, going to check the n/s holder as something ain't right, shouldn't have this much trouble putting a bulb in lol

Rear bulb holder issue, brake light out

Yeah tried twisting both ways but it won't engage, there is a slight 'slit' on the bulb holder that the dimples twists into but it doesnt look right on one side to me but not 100% sure tbh. Odd one, all the other bulbs go in fine.

Rear bulb holder issue, brake light out

Sorry pal been stuck in work unable to reply! I've tried to insert the bulb - other came out OK but it will not rotate to securely fit ie the little dimples on the bulb will not rotate and fit into the holder.

    Revs Shooting up when Accelerating?

PITA to do yourself aint they? just had a look at a few guides and it sounds that way going off them! I don't mind getting my hands dirty but one to leave to the pros methinks with a ramp! I've just contacted Birchdown and see what they say. Cheers all.

    Revs Shooting up when Accelerating?

What's the going rate for one fitted? been quoted £400ish and going of comments on here it's a 4-6 hr job.

    Revs Shooting up when Accelerating?

I was going to mention that but I thought nah won't be that as the clutch is heavy by design! Any sure fire way to say 100%?

    Revs Shooting up when Accelerating?

Quick one Guys. I noticed today whilst on the motorway every time I put my foot down the revs shot up and I got a short burst of speed then they came back down again within seconds! I thought I had a turbo for a sec!! It did this in every gear apart from 1st really. Any idea the most...

    Gear Knobs

Cheers lads for the replies. I've been in touch with Snappy and the price is good but it would be Feb before he could turn it around and obviously getting it off without damage is the issue. Defo ruled out a cheap knob now!

    Gear Knobs

Where from? All the ones I've seen are over £100. Dildo comment has made me either get a genuine one or retrim although with the retrim I've no idea how you (A) get it off without damage and (B) who retrims it and how that process works etc - snappy?
  19. Leo182

    Gear Knobs

Same. I've heard it can be a pita to get off but I am willing to give it a go, trying to keep costs down on this one as I can't justify mega £££ on a knob! I'll take a look at your project thread.

    Gear Knobs

Evening all, I need to replace my knob (oh er!) as it's looking tatty and the leather has come away. I looked at a genuine one but refuse to pay £100+ for it and came across this...

Passenger Headlight not Working, any ideas???

Update for Tubbs Vice! Wow its sorted, man alive!! I've poured the petrol into the tank rather than over the car 🤣 It turns out it was a wire issue on the ballast, not exactly sure what but swapped it out and bingo (y) Happy days, cheers for the replies!

Passenger Headlight not Working, any ideas???

Yeah that did cross my mind, easy enough to do? Gonna see if Clip brings anything up too when I find it in the Garage! Failing all that, gonna pour petrol on it and stand back!!

Passenger Headlight not Working, any ideas???

Yeah I think so! I plugged the good light into the bad side and it works perfectly, I've looked at both 'bad' lights and everything looks fine, can't believe what the issue is because like I said earlier it was working OK until I switched out the sidelight bulb. Baffled doesn't even begin to...

Passenger Headlight not Working, any ideas???

Fuses in the passenger compartment are all OK, I swapped them around to check and same story. Im totally lost now, bloody odd that they were working until I put new sidelight bulbs in. I put the nearside headlight in the o/s and again the good headlight all worked OK so not a wiring issue...

Passenger Headlight not Working, any ideas???

I'll check tomorrow, thanks. Ive just seen a fuse diagram and yep your right two separate fuses for the headlights 15a.
  27. Leo182

Passenger Headlight not Working, any ideas???

I've checked the relays under the glovebox, does each light run off another fuse? I've tried two headlights so I'm guessing I wouldn't have two bad Igniters/ballasts, is there a way to make sure? I suppose I could try to connect up the driver side to the passenger and vice versa to rule out the...

Passenger Headlight not Working, any ideas???

Evening all, Baffling me this one. My passenger headlight has stopped working since I changed the sidelight bulbs as they had gone but now the passenger headlight has gave up. I've checked the bulb and that works fine - I threw it in the drivers side and it was working fine. I have checked...
