Ha-ha!!!! Make some small reserch and found that ... Clio 197 has 75°C thermostat!!! It is same dimensions and fit Clio 172 very good.
P/n is 8200772994.
Aftermarket are: Vernet 6047.75/J and Gates TH45975G1 - both are 75°C too and 2-3 times cheaper ther Renault "original" :)
It is never low then 90 degree - it is really more ... I have AIM MXL Pista dash with thelemetry to check this ...
The summers are very hot there - and as before I simply remove the thermostat at all at the end of May and and return it back at the beginning of September.
I come here for 2 days to some IT-conference ... well, really I come here to pickup exhaust and 182 Cup hubs, but do not tell this to my boss :) I will stay at St Martins Lane https://www.morganshotelgroup.com/originals/originals-st-martins-lane-london
Black - 175 bhp
Green - 197bhp
The scans are low-res, and I do not have all files with me (I just arrive from Moscow to London and are still in Costa cafe in Heathrow airport now :) ). I think there are more info in my project thread here...
This week I am gonna to install the Pure Motorsport's Racing Exhaust Manifold ( http://www.pure-motorsport.co.uk/details.php?itemid=183 ) - I will post back to back results ...
Black is almost standard - with custom 4-2-1 exhaust and decat, Samco Induction kit, matched inlet, Hank's RS Tuner remap. Green - with aftermarket ECU, CNC-mashined cylinder head, and some other tips - but with OEM cams and inlet.
I have Clio 172 with JMS RS2 and CatCams and it is 233 bhp now (hope to get ~250 bhp with new exhaust manyfold):

Yes, it is very good with high lift camsshafts too! Here are my most current engine spec:
Engine:
---------
JMS RS2 Inlet Manifold
CNC-machined cylinder head
CatCams (304/304° - 12.45/12.45mm) with adjustable vernier pulleys
CatCams uprated springs (single)
Supertech valves
Solid lifters...
Tandem with two master cylinders with brake bias proportioning. Vacuum brake booster is removed, as well as ABS and ESP. Hydraulic handbrake.
And yes, this is race-only car ;)
Wilwood calipers have two opposite pistons, so they brake better then standard. And they are very light - this is important for race car!!!
Front calipers are Wilwood 4-pot:
Do you mean Rear Axle? It is by Pure Motorsport:

Current injectors are Magneti Marelli IWP042 - 240cc (at 3bar, up to 310cc at 5 bar). You can try MM IWP043 - they are 330cc at 3 bar/up to 426cc at 5 bar (4-hole conical spray pattern) - i think this is OK with some small airflow tuning like porting, induction kit even without remap. Megane...
Others are by Vibra Technology (you can see them at K-Tec Racing), while I have some ideas how to make my own too...
For engine build my advice is:
- ARP head studs
- Athena Racing head gasket (very good - multilayer, exact 0.83 bore, 0.85 thikness)
- Kent Cams Competition Cam Belt (high temp...
I got this clutch from DemonTweaks and they spend near 3 months in communications with the Helix (manufacturer) to build the proper configuration with the release bearing compatible with original 172's gearbox. I think that now you can get it much faster - just ask the John Harris...
