Finally you have a reason to be here ;)
It looks ok mate, would be better to get more of an idea of it's condition with a few more pics.
Have you got a link to the yanoo shift kit? Sounds interesting.
It will be faster, more useable and handle better than it ever has....I can't see what's so bad ;) I'll bring it down when it's done mate you'll enjoy it
So some new parts purchased
Trophy Turini's from my old Trophy #64
Trophy Dampers purchased from the mile munching trophy (Sir Daves old one)
Some parts sold:
Cobra Seats
TD Wheels
GAZ Coilovers
Hopefully it will be ok on the road, may start putting all of the interior back in it over this...
I've got plenty of bottles mate, I'm not sure, have a look.
Either look for Wolfs Chemicals de-ironiser, IRON-X and I think auto finesse do something called IRON out, they're on here so might be worth asking them
I'd get 205/40/16's mate they'll be better and it should handle a little better as well.
The clips are easy to take out, just get a pointy pair of crips, gently squeeze the clips together then push them out one by one.
The EZ detail brushes are for when the wheels are on the car so it's...
Can't see the pics mate and not sure if you've done this but you can remove the diamonds easy enough, I did them with my old turini's and they looked really good after a few coats of polish.
I'm going to buy a few bottles of IRON-X for my trophy turini's and give them a propper good clean up...
That's your problem mate, motorscope is not well callibrated at all, it reads way out, even if it was reading 20bhp over it's still a very good result.
As kev says, we had plenty of plays back in the day in my old ph1, not sure if the timing was perfect on it but it went ok, kev's was a quick...
Not sure why it comes accross that way, maybe the ones who had clio's and have progressed onto better cars are very quick to slate clio's and anything you plan to do with them
I think they're great cars, they have their problems like anything else, people on here are more realists than on the...
Nah he works in cyprus for the RAF so the car is just sat in garage, me and my mate take it out every few weeks to keep it ticking over, he loves astra's for some strange reason, just keep telling him to wait until we get up hartside in the better weather then he can see what the fuss is all about.
Yeah mate I pulled past him when he first got it, I just dnt think it was very well. IT turned out to have a nackered injector, so that's now fixed and the itg and de-cat have made it fly at the mid range to top end.
Paul thinks with advancing the inlet cam more ponies could be had however...
My mate has just had sams old trophy mapped again after a de-cat and ITG Maxogen. It made 183.5bhp at RS Tuning, it feels like it should have more power when on the road, I was very impressed when driving it, would've blown my old one to smithereens and that was making 182bhp at RS tuning. It's...
Whichever way you want to go I'll take you sam. It would be a bit of a treck going from durham services upto consett but we could go that way on the way back
haha always said I'd own an RB but I Think your old car will be the last clio for me for a good few years. I'm looking forward to getting it on the road now, havent even looked at it for weeks it's just sat in the garage doing nothing
I know, I remember that as well, I guess TDF have done good bits of work etc however from where I'm sitting it would seem standards slipped as more money rolled in
Why is it that TDF etc who were seen to be the dogs danglies turn out to be experts in bodging?
I dont want this post to appear that I think the sun shines out of Freds arse but I've never seen/heard of anyone bad mouthing his or the rest of the chaps at BTM's work? Why can't people just do...
Yeah I've had many 106's and saxo's in the past before I moved onto clios, they're just so much fun and you can modify them for much cheaper and see better results for your money than you can with clio's.
I've done a lot of work on the underneaths of my saxo, but to look at it from outside it...
