Steve aka turbo trophy was running that power years ago, it's a bit old news now although still a great figure.
There is another trophy on here that had an f4rt power plant in it which could be the one your friend is on about
Nice pic haha
I'll be selling it at the end of the year Will I think, depends how it does out on track I guess, I'm getting itchy feet because It's just money sat there doing nothing at the minute.
I've been thinking about it all day since I said the above.
I've got a little saxo vtr that I'm in love with at the minute and can't bare myself to sell it when the 182 is done, so thought why not track that instead?
I may keep the 182 as it is for when it's put back on the road and see if I...
My mam lives around 10 miles from combe, I guess I'll have to just lie about wanting to visit her for the weekend and go off to FCS. Might invite a few of the lads round as well if they dnt fancy camping and want some beer
After a ride down to RS Tuning in my mates trophy yesterday, I've decided I'm going to put this car back to a nice road spec.
I'll be removing the seats, coilovers and wheels and doing the following:
Trophy Suspension with cooksports or eibach sportline springs
Full interior with retrimmed...
I've got some nice Team Dynamic Pro Race 3's coming up for sale soon in gloss black with tyres, a lot less weight than 2118's and look better IMO
Let me know if you're interested
Indeed mate, the thing I've found with ITB's is the more cars you read about them being done, the more they seem to break, i.e yours, sharkys, Ash's race car etc, maybe its just coincedence that the only cars I read about with ITB's are the above mentioned however it puts me off, has anyone...
Just lost an hour of my life reading this thread, only conclusion I've gained from it that n/a clio tuning is still bloody expensive and pretty pointless unless you're going turbo, then reliability comes into the equation.
Been on a 400 mile round trip today to scotland where they had no snow!!!...to pick up my new engine. The car I've got has only covered 47k miles so felt it was important to either rebuild that lump or get an engine with near enough the same miles.
Managed to get a bare engine from Adam. on...
Work in a call centre mate, propper s**t really but it will do until I qualify as an accountant.
I just love driving mate, I can easily do 200 miles just going to hartside for a blast out, I probably do hartside 1-2 times a month for fun, then down to helmsley, plus going up and down to work...
Wouldnt bother mate, the ph1 is a ph2 inside and thats the best part of the mk2 clio and its got mega ponies so just stick with the ph1 and 225 the 197 ;)
Thanks for all of the comments guys, yes I guess I love clio's, hopefully this one will survive, I'm sure It will. The problem is in around 7-8 months I cover the same mileage most do in 2-3 years, so the problems develop a little faster and then I just get my sensible head on and tell myself...
Buy a ph2, put some of your bits on then happy days, or fix it up, I've got a rad and fan here if you need it, I've also got a slam panel etc but not sure if the ph2 slam panel will be the same as the ph1
RS 192 Exhaust now removed and going for the new BTM system, had one before and was impressed with the gains both in power and weight saving.
Also going to be putting in some 421 cat cams whilst its been rebuilt, hopefully it will crack the 190bhp mark and I can continue with my mission of...
Good to hear you're ok mate, liked your car when I was chatting to you at Fred's place.
Hope you both make a good recovery, I've got a mint black shell here if you need to reshell the car.
Let me start at the front then as it hasnt got the power to overtake clio's up hills haha, it's a beast through hartside though, never took it down the penrith side as when I went up it had been snowing and didnt fancy locking up
Sam if you need anyone to show you the way I'll be coming in the saxo, was up hartside and down to penrith last night in the snow...it was entertaining
Re: My Phase 1 ITB Daily Runner
Just read the last few pages, I'm sure Fred is over the moon about having another engine to rebuild, mines going down there in a a week or so to get it back to full health as its been swimming and gulped up some water....just deciding whether to put some gt cams...
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
Like the colour choice Dan, nice to see something different from bright yellows/greens/pinks etc.
What is your verdict on the cams/idle set up etc now you've had it a while? Thinking of going for 421's instead of 438's as I dont want to pay k-tec's prices.
