So picked the car up from having the centre box fitted and had a to do a 40 mile drive and I'm happy to report I didn't have a headache at the end of it, the drone is still there a bit but its very minimal. So so much better, I love the car again now, the exhaust note has changed to a little...
After a couple of weeks of daily use ive decided that I cant deal with the exhaust drone on the motor way. I'm running a silenced decat and a Ktec 2.5 system. I like how it sounds when youre having a hoon but 70/80mph on a run is killing me!
question is has anyone fitted a center section and...
i know this will be a daft question for some but....
what is the difference between the standard mk2 172 and the 172 cup shocks (front and rear)
cheers Dan
Ive seen these pop up a few times now and was thinking about giving this a go...
question is.. is there any sort of guide about for this? need some info on what parts are required (what year scenic etc) and also modifications required.
cheers
I've been offered some OZ F1's but can't make my mind up! Do they work on the phase 2's?
Mines silver and was thinking I'd have them refurbished in anthracite.
Would appreciate your thoughts and pics if you've got them?
I went for the black insert to start with and it was a bit much for every day use, swapped it over for a yellow one and coupled with new mounts it's now settled in fine ( minimal vibration at idle)
Does it rev freely when stationary? I does sound like a blocked cat/exhaust and it's not uncommon for a new part to fail.
You could try unbolting the cat and taking it for a quick spin?!
I have a 172 that's basically standard apart from an air filter and a de-cat. I'm looking for somewhere to get it mapped and run on a rolling road to get a good understanding of what's going on with the car before and after.
Basically can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere to go...
