Since selling my 182 last year, I've always regretted it and wished I'd kept it. Despite being the cheapest car I've ever owned, it was also the most fun.
I recently decided that I was going to sell my Octavia vRS and get something more fun and a little more track friendly. I had my heart set...
One of the forum moderators sorts it all out. Two sessions, Briskoda only. The Castle Combe staff even tried to stop me going out on track as I wasnt in one! Took some persuading.
Heres a photo of mine that someone took on Quarry. I was on the Briskoda stand and have been going for the last 5 years. I feel that the skoda only track slots are far nicer to drive in than the chaos of some of the others, much more respect from fellow forum members.
I walked past the CS stand...
Just mapped my 182 with the RS Tuner box. Runs far better now, looking forward to some proper blasts over the next few days. (Up for sale if anyone is interested - see for sale section).
Don't worry too much, I've had the Hankooks on for the last 18 months since buying the car. It's been a hoot to drive, both hard and pootling around. However, I was getting close to needing a new set and was looking at PS3's. Just wanted something with a little more grip.
Unless you hoon it...
Yeah, I understand the characteristics of fwd cars, I was just trying to point out that I was impressed how premium tyres had really changed the dynamics of the car.
No, they're not really bad at all. Car still handled fine with them on. I just found that when I pushed really hard they would understeer and didn't feel too great when turning into a corner hard. They are classed as a mid-range tyre and I think that shows.
I have a 2009 tsi vRS estate. Spent a small fortune on it, stage 2 map, full milltek, itg intake R32 brakes, eibachs etc etc. Was an absolutely amazing car and ridiculous in a straight line, that was until the cam chain tensioner failure last June.
Still fighting skoda attempting to get some...
I use the Werkstat acrylic kit, but love to spend the day claying and polishing. the previous owner really looked after it.
The wheels were bought on eBay for what I consider to be a very reasonable price. Can sell mine now too, so will cost even less.
Thanks. Im always loathed to describe something as mint as it very rarely is, however the bodywork on this is as close as it gets. No marks scratches or even swirl marks.
I have been after a new set of tyres for my 182 for a few weeks now and rather than buy new, I was hoping to land on a set of decent wheels with tyres included.
Finally got a set of gloss black Pro Race 1.2's fitted that came with part worn Yokohama ad08r's.
Ive just been out and after sorting...
Need four new tyres and will either be getting a set of PS3's or Eagle Asymmetric 2's.
Tempted by the Michelin at the moment but a little confused which one to buy. Tyre leader have 3 listed, one is the 83v rated and the others are the 87w XL.
I've done loads of searching and found that some...
All the second hand cars I've owned have always felt better after several months in my ownership. They get driven hard now and again and used to their full potential. I'm positive that engines don't appreciate being driven slowly all the time and not revved over 3k.
I had an old 2.3 Prelude...
Sounds to me like someone is pulling a fast one. Get under the car and check the rubber in the exhaust mounts. They are made of cheese and fall apart causing the pipes to not sit correctly. Mine were both recently replaced but I still had to reinforce them to get the rear box positioned the way...
Just had a call from by local Renault dealer (Bristol Street Motors, Exeter). They have offered me a service plan for the next 3 years servicing. I'm always sceptical about these sorts of things but quite intriguiged by this as it seems quite cheap.
I've been quoted a total of £339 over the...

All this talk of the RS Tuner has got me interested. I've had my 182 for nearly a year now and love it. Possibly a silly question but as I've never driven any other clio sport, what's the easiest way of telling whether it's already been done or not? The car already had a few mods and I've always...
All good advice so far, and don't be too annoyed, the 182 is a superior drive to the CTR. Owned both and the electrically assisted steering in the Civic is tragic. As sweet as the engine and gearbox are, the lack of feedback is shameful. The 182 is far far better in this regard.
