They are loud, but in a good way IMO, not your usual bean can chav exhaust farting along. Although I do appreciate in some cases for day to day they may be "unsuitable" :rasp:
Got a prospeed inc. a de-cat to go on my car soon, has a mid silencer so shouldn't be too loud :)
Anybody done this? Did mine the other day was really easy, just wondered what ROM/kernels people are using?
At the moment I'm running CheckRom RevoHD V4 and a siyah kernel, overclocked it to 1.4ghz using SetCPU.
Haha
I know this ain't the place to ask Fred but i'm at work so here goes.. how much for cambelt inc. tensioners etc. and dephaser? I'll make the journey down seeing as I can't rely on local places...
Ringing round for some prices for cambelt change etc. inc. dephaser and one garage (renault specialist) said some early ones don't have a dephaser, is this correct? If so how would I know on my car?
Cheers
Ayeeee Markcup ;)
Just ask them outright mate if you went for a stainless would they knock off the price of the s**t exhaust or at least some money off.
I'm with Brentacre and you can do what you want mod wise and it won't increase your policy only when doing cams/throttle bodies etc. I even rang and asked about a de-cat as I am going to fit one and the guy literally just said yep no problem at all. I think it depends who you are with as to how...
The exhaust is banging? If so then probably a mount causing it to sag low enough to hit it. Mine does this but its cos the monkey that made my exhaust didn't bend the exhaust over the axle enough.
