williams, redtopped corsa/nova, zetec'd xr2, bike powered kitten/fox, crapi 2/3 ltr, plenty beemers plenty other stuff really. granted most havent got aircon/cc, but your old skool so that shouldnt be a problem.
and theres cars that would fit that bill better also. and they look better lol. as for every home should have 1. lol then wed all be the same. how boring a world would that be?? ;)
still a bit confused on your logic tbh. i mean theres plenty cars more economical than a clio, for your daily, theres quite a few better on track, and down the country lanes.....well a 172 anyway.
so remind me again. why do you own one?
well the trick is knowing how far you can take it ;)
and theres me thinking you were a petrolhead....how can you not like christine???? shes right up there with the general lee, kitt and delorean.
i mean...just listen to it purring ;)...
and if you like the landys, youl also spot in the 1st vid, his stationwagon. 1 of the rarest landys ever built. originally a missile detector of some sort. iirc its 1 of only 22 built, about 4 remain.
a landy is s**t ....even on snow tyres with locked diff. compared to what weve been rolling in.
compared to the v8 lightweight, which coincidentally runs a wide body converted to run on the range rover chassis, rather than just cut the chassis down and run with wheel arches to make up the extra...
no mate dont do mapping. wayne at chip wizards does my mapping. im not intending to go for a cheaper version of the rs2 so wont be able to let you know, just thinkin out loud really. i have no real intentoon of doing anything to the trophy tbh. may get it mapped later on, but for now iv better...
well lets just say we agree to disagree there. lol. granted, there may be minimal mods to do to something off the shelf to get it to fit, but then there are also companies out there that would be willing to make something to your spec for a lot less. i can get hold of quite a lot of carbon...
no its you who isnt listening. i know the confines of the engine, with slam panel etc. all it takes is a bit of running figures through companies, looking up on the net with the figures you need and something will pop up.
took 4 weeks for the willy manifold from ordering to it being sat there on the engine.
as above mate. im sure off the shelf there are bits of kit that will produce the goods. it just means a little bit of detective work. the carbon airboxes off the formula reno stuff are only 600 odd euros...
all the more reason for a trip to spa/dam/ring hehe. no shipping with a hellofalotta fun thrown in ;) who knows you might even make a profit from your own imports ;)
and chip....its not something iv looked at yet. being pretty new to f4 ownership. but im pretty sure the same results can be had...
240 euros vs 230 £££ is a pretty big diff.
and if the airboxes are the same as jenveys stuff, why the big diff in price?? stands to reason that the smart money goes chadil rather than jenvey if thats the case.
know what your saying fella. but this is basically all the rs2 is.... mani, airbox/plenum with the t/b bolted to the end. im sure there are ways of gettin same/similar results for lots less ££
thats as may be. but if theres no rush. people can wait........how much are the jenvey manis??
didnt have to wait anywhere near that long for the mani for the williams btw.
not 100% sure, but i know the mk1s used the sodemo engines. im pretty sure the later models will have too. check out their website. might be of some help to you.
2 hours work tops. they are a piece of piss to do. everythings marked up on the belt. one of the easiest belt changes ever imho. how people can struggle with these is beyond me .
Re: Clio Bargins.
williams 1 for 800. got it 6+ years ago bought on the phone pretty much. had intended to buy strip/sell for parts. was too good for that tho. has done oulton park and spa
other williams 1, 11 years ago, £4500. had sooooooooo much fun in it its unreal.
trophy...bought for...
aye best way to tell ......unless its been rung ;)
dashes are easily removed and retro fit into another car. can even buy the plaques off some unscrupulous sellers/owners of cars. mr barrington has sold a few iirc.
