Need a front one for my Trophy. I know there are a few issues with the rear sensors for the Trophy but have people been using the front Bosch sensors from ECP successfully with 182s (part number 417745310)?
Does anybody have a part number or know of a place to buy the plastic brake line clips which mount directly onto the rear beam of a 182? The old items I've transferred onto my refurbished rear beam are past their best and not gripping the beam or brake lines very well.
Thanks!
I have a brand new and unused pair of blue/white Puma Drift Cats in size 9, which were sent to me in error (ordered size 10). Before I return, does anyone want these? PM me if interesred, I'll put them up in the for sale forum too.
All fixed now...the culprit was a really badly corroded spade connector at the horn end of things. Ended up cutting the feed wire and mounting a new spade connector. Works a treat now, both wheel buttons fine and with ignition on/off. Happy days!
Further to the above, it turns out that the cruise actually works fine, so it's just the horn that's not working.
I'm thinking fuse or the horn unit itself - hammer time?!
Finally got around to popping off the airbag and taking a look underneath. Noticed that that the cruise/limiter isn't working either, so suspect a problem with the wiring.
Nothing untoward under the airbag, all wiring as it should be and connectors in place.
Any suggestions on what to check...
Silly question, but do you have the dogbone mount the right way up and are you supporting the engine/gearbox with a jack? Removing the mount lets the engine/gearbox drop and will make refitting very difficult.
I'd like to get my Whiteline rear ARB sand-blasted and powder coated, just to freshen it up and protect it going forward. Can anyone recommend a good powder coating specialist in the Bristol area? Thanks!
Great photos @barnesautos!
So, just to clarify...the upper gearbox mount swap can be done by simply taking the battery out? Does the ECU bracket need removal too? Presumably the 'spider' needs to come out if you then want to get to the top nut on the lower gearbox mount beneath?
As above, slightly strange issue where the horn only works when the ignition is off. Passed an MoT a few month back, so not sure what's happened since then. Occasionally get one 'beep' out of the horn whilst ignition on, then nothing more.
Any suggestions for sorting this?
Recently bought a pair of carbon exhaust trims from Pure Motorsport for my 182. The website suggests using a Sikaflex or Tiger Seal PU adhesive to affix these in place, but there appear to be quite a few products available from each brand. I'm a bit unsure as to which product to purchase.
Does...
Well done, great result! Nice to hear about some logical, evidence-based diagnosis taking place  Proves it can be done DIY with simple diagnosis equipment and use of the forum.
It may be that he needs to know exactly what ABS hardware you have? I bought the ABS Module from the start, so he had the screenshot from the VCI unlock anyway. Interestingly, I didn't have to send a screenshot when I then added the airbag module.
Henk knows what he's doing, so I'd just go with...
This is interesting feedback @Clio17271 on what must presumably be popular products.
I recently purchased both upper and lower gearbox mounts from KTR, so am concerned ahead of fitting. The lower item is by FEBI, which is a brand I've trusted in the past. However, the upper mount is 'unbranded'...
