Different standards/strokes for different folks it seems. No digs here, just sharing my opinion that may help.

    ly 182 auction

The state of pictures and written ads for cars these days is shocking. The way the advert is written and the assortment of pictures would put me off tbh. You can see a garage ramp in one of the pictures.. Maybe that's just me but a nice location, a bit of sun with a clean car (Especially LY)...

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

How the hell did he manage to trap a fly? :anguished: If dealers aren't sourcing number plates ingredients for around £2 a plate, they are doing it wrong!

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

I used to work at a Peugeot dealer, so popped in and made them myself at the weekend 😂 You should be able to into a dealer your friendly with and providing you have proof of ownership etc, ask them to make you some 'plain' plates - I bet there cheaper than you'd expect also!

    The Chris Harris thread

Awesome video, the jealousy is strong! P1 for me, it just looks 100% amazing! The Ferrari's wheels are abit naff and the Porsche just doesn't really float my boat looks wise... All incredible machines nevertheless.

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

Small-ish update on the near-future plans for this car. Car is booked in locally on the 30th for the 'One-Ball' Mod. I can't justify spending £££ on an exhaust and the silencer that's being removed is pretty grotty as it stands. Orranje wont commit to when their Stealth airbox's are going to...

    Matthew's VW Tiguan

I'd often presume I was in a lower gear when driving the ST, purely for the flexible range of torque on offer. Now I'm driving an MCS its time to work again 😅😅

I can't remember how the Eibachs were or I'd probably consider them lol 😂😂

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

Its been a few years, but I've had Eibachs on an R53 before and they seemed compliant enough for me?! I think Brookie still runs them and hes had the car for over 2 years. I know a decent set of coilovers would be a better option, but I guess the costs involved.

What did you lower yours on mate?

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

With better tyres, I think it will handle well enough. Like you say its a brilliant little car that sits well as standard compared to say a 1*2. I'm done with lowered cars...I think.

Grilles are here, that will be a fun job for this weekend 😅 Before then, I fitted my 'Pool Ball' gearknob as I had fitted to my previous MCS. @Brookie.:up::up:

I may look at a JCW tailbox, although it shall possibly get the One-Ball mod before hand to see what its like.

I've had the 'wear and tear' guidelines through... Seems like you can get away with more than I thought

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

Yeah I've heard people speak highly of the upgrade, I just have other things as a priority I guess, like remove the bloody budget run flats on the back! 🙈 This ones not getting lowered either, I think I'm getting old as it was a toss up between an MCS or a Mondeo ST 😂

@banther I don't think I can be bothered to replace calipers etc so be my guest

I'm guessing I would need need to source R56S carriers to go with?

Did you gather all the bits separately? Don't suppose anyone offers an R56S brake package? @Sir_Dave

BMW  I work for them so can usually blag a reasonable discount. I'm going to try my luck on some bigger items soon for a laugh.

http://www.1320.co.uk/1320-bmw-mini-cooper-s-r53-stage-one-tuning-package 15% Pulley = £312 package from these guys will usually net 20bhp minimum. Gets expensive after that from my view. I'll be doing the 15% Pulley after Xmas tbh!

Abit of a Trek for me... But I'm awfully tempted. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-cooper-s-alloy-wheels-Refurbished-silver-PX-tyres-available-/171981093026?hash=item280adf38a2:g:3LoAAOSw1ZBUxqHV The chav side of me likes black, but silver would be more 'fitting' @Daniel Shame a PX would be a...

It seems good ones hold their value! I sold my old one to @brookie over 2 years ago and I doubt its lost any value/may have gained!
  24. Daz_RT_04

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

Yeah 2005+ Cars specced with the Chili Pack come with them IIRC. Its more involving, the steering is heavier and feels like its giving more feedback. This thing on runflats is about the same in terms of ride firmness. Its more chuckable and the back end appears a little lighter than the ST but...

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

Yeah I'm not 100% on them and they need a refurb ideally so I may look at another wheel at somepoint. I much prefer these as a standard wheel.
  26. Daz_RT_04

    2006 Mini Cooper S - Another One.

Well the ST is due to go back shortly and instead of getting another lease etc I decided to re-visit old ground and get another MCS. I was quite fussy when it comes to spec. It had to be 2005 onwards, Grey (Dark Silver) had to have Xenons with preferably full leather and multifunction steering...

Deposit taken already, not a bad £2500 turnaround if Daniels prediction is right. Does look nice tbh.

You would have to find someone yourself fella. They would also have to have a good credit rating etc etc.
