Well allot have been done to the car in the last weeks.
Fitted a silicone black silicone hose set (had to be modded in some places to get it to fit properly).
And a bit of fun, made a shift ligt. Didn't want to buy a box and tape of mount it on the dash.
Wanted it to look as much oem as...
In the meantime i tested several braking setups and agree with @Bear Head
The Bremo 225 is the obvious choice for 15".
I now run a mk3 megane Brembo setup, which definatelly looks and works awesome but you must run 16".
Nice too see another proper 172 in the netherlands.
Will this car be purely for track use or are you also going to use it on the road and get it registered ?
Welkom op ClioSport -> absoluut de beste locatie voor unieke aanpassingen en een gigantische community voor deze auto's
Well time to dust off my project thread
ALLOT has happened since my last post.
Put some brand new Megane 3 RS Calipers on (needed custom brackets -> 225 ones didn't work for me).
Installed Megane 3 RS Steering wheel.
Had the car completely repainted.
Installed the Turkish SM Intake and...
Yep really happy!
Did cost a pretty penny but absolutely worth it.
Regarding the calipers, i specifically bought the red ones (brand new btw). They really stand oud with the yellow. Just like on the yellow Mk3 Megane's !
Small update the car has been painted :
Happy with the choice to keep it all original, stunning color when freshly painted.
I can now fully imagine this selling like hot cakes 16 years ago while shinning in the showroom of the dealership :fearscream:
I have one as well, it fits but needs some adjustment to get it to work.
You have to replace the fuel pump in the housing.
After that you need to make some adjusments to the in-pump fuel filter so it will fit in the housing.
Yep this it the one car that made me thought about it but to do it correctly a full strip down is going to be needed (engine bay etc.).
Come to think about it i actually prefer the sunflower color, its way more rare than LY.
Sunflower ph1 cars where only sold for about 8 months from what it...
Made the change, entire car original color....except the V6 spoiler.
It has already been painted in BG few weeks ago and i like it makes the spoiler stand out allot more than normal.
Its already full of black details so it suits it nicely.
@ForceIndia -> thanks for this tip i can always try...
My gut also tells me to go with the original color, these cars are even more rare here in the Netherlands than they are in the UK (arround 10 left on the road).
I have already invested a small fortune in this car, and the paint was one of the last things that let it down -> which as of this...
I can probably get it for the same price.
The clear varnish was completely gone on the roof, when trying to get it masked up they removed allot of the varnish from the car by just removing masking tape...
So a respray is pretty much the only thing to go for and get it properly sorted.
I had it on the dyno last weekend to get it properly mapped by Henk.
Unfortunately some issues came out, causing some major stuttering and car not running well at all.
So i had to postpone 😢
I have already fixed it now (new intake sensors+90 degree turn on the TB), but ill have to wait for...
You might be able to find some nice ones on this site.
Some stuff is priced pretty damn good.

I agree, without the sealant the kit was pretty much useless. Didn't improve at all.
Thats the reason i went for it, as it couldn't get much worse anyway.
We could only go up from there
Ill post an update after it has been dyno'd and driven for 500km's this saturday
I used a common brand thats available here in the netherlands.
But its normal high temp (up to 300C) liquid gasket, nothing fancy.
Should be part of your standard car guy garage inventory basically :tonguewink:
Regarding the instructions found this ...
The kit is very easy to fit, but takes a bit of time due to the oil that has to be removed.
I have to drive 500km's this saturday to get the sunflower mapped by Henk so im able to give an update this weekend
I was a bit fed up with the stupid leak, even the TND fix wasn't able to get it even reduced a little.
So as in my case it couldn't get much worse i decided to see if i could do anything to improve the design.
The two parts that you put arround the shaft are not rubber but hard plastic so it...
Just received the package, absolutely gutted 😞.
Was hoping for the 10.000 Latvian "LOL" labels, instead i actually receive these .... :fearscream:
Stole pic but its the same packaging -> 100% authentic real deal this -> real happy
