1.2 TCE is a good little engine, im not really sure about this though they've done it with the dynamique S or the clio world series both of which look far better than this!

In terms of the MOT brakes would only fail if they were metal to metal and/ or binding, 172 Cups always fail the MOT on brake balance anyways but there is a vosa technical bulletin out on this. The exhaust should have been advised...

As above you could plough into the side of a taxi for example and providing the car wasn't written off it wouldn't show up on HPI. Im sure i ve owned cars that have been in a bump before, unless your a body work expert you will probably never know!

A creased boot floor can write off a Clio 2, unlikely in this case but well worth checking.

Call in to your local friendly body shop and get them to check the boot floor etc just for piece of mind, it sounds like you've got away ok with it, these things happen unfortunatly.

A £3k Cup will be a complete dog with over 80k... You need in my opinion £2.5k for a decent PH1 that doesn't need its second cambelt change the following day (many forget these are 10yrs old now). Decent Cup is £3.5-4k, I looked at a £4k example which was described as minty mint, was average at...

Imports don't come up on Renaults system with the reg, just keep the chassis number to hand and you won't have an issue.

I don't honestly know, it feels quite pokey in the lower gears and it gets up to a ton easily enough but I haven't pushed it further, I expect its probably Zetec S pace, feels quicker though but then all turbo cars do. Wastegate makes a cool noise, and with the paddle shift its all about the fun...
