Incorrect, its half an hours labour to programme a key in.
Go in to your dealer with identification and your V5, they can order a key from there, 5-10 working days to come in then it can be programmed. It will cost you between £140-150 Inc parts, labour and vat.
The old key will no longer start...
Exactly, its also cheaper, you won't find main dealers using Gates kits though so they are always going to be more expensive. All im saying is your not always comparing like for like :D
Its worth bearing in mind that the really cheap quotes you hear of people getting i.e sub £400 do not include the aux belt kit, and in some cases not even the aux belt, and are non genunine parts. You really want a genuine cambelt kit and auxbelt kit, £500 from a specialist, just over £600 at a...
Yes, our parts advisor runs a 182 Trophy and is active on Renaultsport, he knows most of the RS parts off the top of his head, we are based in Bournemouth.
Customer services are usually very helpful.
Your issue is with the supplying dealer, their valeters would have noticed the damage, as would the tech that PDI'd the car, this should have been rectified before the car was collected. Now you have taken the car away there are all sorts of issues...
There are Renaults that are chain driven. The M9R engine (2.0 dci) is chain driven, this is in Laguna's, trafic's, meganes and the 175hp variant is in the Meggy RS175.
I really wouldn't worry about them, if you look after it like your 172 then they will be fine. The main problem I feel comes from the way people get in and out of them.
The Recaro's technically fall under trim so they wouldn't be covered under even the most comprehensive extended warranty. To be honest trim under the manufacturers 3yr warranty is a grey area 9/10 they will declare it wear and tear. In my experience R27 seat bases always go the RUK customer...
I would look carefully at what the warranty includes, who it is underwritten by etc.
Many dealers will charge a diagnostic charge to investigate a fault before approaching the extended warranty company for approval. I believe the Renault 4 you warranty is underwritten by car care plan, they also...
Stour road traffic lights, 10.30ish, sporting roof bars and some surf graphics now lol!
I was in a black Ashtray SRI turbo turning right, you didn't see me :rasp:

I ve seen better adverts for furniture under £20 in the back of the paper,
cheap none the less though.
Has had new gearbox, clutch and steering rack?! These aren't items that normally go on a 1*2, sounds like it could be a snotter.
Please enlighten me, having just put a claim through for a Recaro seat base on a R27 I can assure you it has been absolute ballache and has taken 2-3 weeks to get authorised, including sending photos and costings to Renault UK/ warranty.
Technically fraying to the seat cover would be deemed wear...
Sounds too good to be true in retrospect.
Probably a capsicum red campus sport lol.
And I think rust is the only thing modern renaults don't suffer with?!
If it has full renault main dealer service history might be worth looking into the anti perforation warranty.
