Car seems to have stopped making the weird loss of grip when slow sharp turning so a mega result?!

Did mine the other week and the pinch bolts were MEGA tight, took rather a lot of hammering to knock out!

My DS2500's squeeled like crazy even without shims - found out they were rather glazed over!! Since rubbing down they are almost squeel free :-)

Nightmare when they are tight, did mine today with 21mm deep spanner and 6mm allen key. I would say that Kwik Fit would buzz, maybe even slip the fitter a few ££.

Played around a bit today and no play from what I can tell. Replaced both ball joints and noticed the holding bolts were seized in, not sure if this is normal? Will see if this makes any difference. Took springs off shocks and able to push the dampers in when pushing hard on them? Is this...

Hi, not too sure really, mine on the car seemed very loose and rough but think that's normal. I think they collapse or fall out of shape on top of the strut when they go (although I'm no expert!)

Hi, got them from a local parts place. Gsf claimed they don't do them but euro car parts have both items cheap. Hope it helps, Daniel

Right, my mechanic is not working this weekend and the squeeling driving me insane (also binding!). Taken carriers off and one of the pads was very tightly fitted. Removed them all, resanded surface to get rid of any glazing, re-fitted but forgot to remove the darn shims! Am I likely to...

Now getting major brake squeeling so wondering if my mechanic didn't remove the shims? He did say that some filing was required so not sure? Also get slight squeel after brakes released when hot so assume the pads are too tight?

Limited runs just make the car different from the norm, that is something which I enjoy as a car owner (sad hey!). My car previous to the Trophy and 172 was a Citroen AX GT cabriolet, that says it all!!
