Brembo hc/max???

Car  500 Twinair
Have always ran brembo max disc with ferodo ds2500 pads, is there really much difference between the max and hc.
Am I wasting my money buying max disc when they are £120 compared to the HC disc £70???

I've had 2 sets of Max's so far and can't fault them. And yeh, you can get them for way under 100 notes!

you should really think about the pads AS much as the discs. std. renault work fine for me, no different from brembo.

Gonna have to try the HC to see if theres any difference.
Going to stick with the ferodo ds2500 pads though.

I think I'm gonna try a set of those HC disks, are they blank?? I want to cut a custom groove pattern into them

The HC disc are blank, probably better off cutting custom patterns into a standard disc, if you havent already.

Brembo HC with Ferodo DS2500 pads...

No need for grooved or cross drilled disc... unless your a chav! :rasp:

I guess I'm a chav then - Brembo Max and Pagid Blue (I like the grooves :D)

By the way it's "you're a chav" not "your a chav" :rasp:

Doesn't surprise me. I thought the Max was the best disc to use with Pagid Blues. Thats why I went for it...........and the grooves.

you all do know the max disc is just a hc disc with grooves cut into it?

I thought the max discs had some special black coating on them that stops rust and keeps the disk looking good?

Although when I had them the special black coating didn't seem to work.

a bit of paint? same discs

the k-tec grooved discs for the meane 225's and 197's are just brembo HC discs with grooves cut into them

Never understood this.

The cheapest discs in the world for me (£34.66 delivered), coupled with some decent pads.(if i feel like it, standards are fine for road use.) Changed the lines about 4 years ago so no worrys there.

Job done, Grooves make noise and do f**k all. Drilled are stupid and dangerous.

exactly. better on the hc discs. better pads and if the discs ware away more they are cheaper to change. Plus Max are weeker due to the grooves.

LOL, no s**t it doesn't work. Have you seen that special black coating after a few laps on track? White powder. Stiff breeze and it's gone. Max look better and make a manly grumbling noise. That's all there is to it TBH.
