Completely agree... and this is the direction I'm going with my car. As I'm useless with electrics, I'd ideally need to pay an electrician to do this... any idea of the cost of the materials and the labor time?
Be interested to hear how these fair on the track... not sure whether that applies to you though! Currently run the 595 RSR's and love them, but thinking about R888's.
Hi All,
My 172 Cup is primarily used for the track, although as it's still road legal, taxed, MOT'd and insured I occasionally use it for going to the gym etc. When on track it's fantastic, but when driving on a bumpy road it knocks quite a lot on the front suspension, now this is NOT just when...
Wow 500 quid?! I'm not sure how different the 1200 engines are from the F4R but the throttle body can be changed in about 10 minutes, when I changed mine I didn't need to wipe any codes or anything, it worked straight away, although the code moved from a current to a stored code instead. I...

Hi All
I work in pre-sales for an open-source company, specialising in cloud computing. I find myself working with, developing for and recommending OpenStack for many different organisations cloud needs. Anyone used this? Familiar with it etc? Wondering whether there's anyone else on here using...
I might have missed this in this 92 page thread, but wondering whether you still have the key, immobiliser etc?
If not, how have you got around this? Thanks... great thread btw
Would love a detailed write up of how this engine was put together, anything you guys could provide I'd very much appreciate. I want to go down this route also... don't want big big power but more than ITB's + cams!
So I've been spending... currently got in the garage waiting to be fitted...

Definitely subscribing to this... can you explain a bit more about the 225 engine please? So it's a 172 bottom end but with megane crank/pistons, a megane head (which presumably bolts straight to the 172 bottom end?) and then the rest is megane, i.e. inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and turbo...
Yeah, absolutely useless in the snow...
In the rain they're not great, I wouldn't put any faith in them on the track in the wet but that's my experience
So can I put the stud kit INTO the spacer itself and just have the spacer bolted to the hub?
Also, is it possible to have the stud kit into the hub and run say, 15mm spacers that sit on the studs?
Potentially stupid questions above ;-)
Hi All,
I'm trying to figure out which size spacers I should opt for, taking into consideration that the car will spend most of its life on the track. The car is a 172 Cup, lowered on Gaz coilovers but was set-up for the track so certainly isn't scraping the ground! The front camber is...
