Hi,
I need new captives and associated fixing / bolt for the following:
Rear bumper, two inner bolts;
Sill panels, fixing behind the wheel;
Front bumper, undertray panels to bumper;
Front undertray, two bolts securing beneath radiator;
If anyone can point me in the direction of the supplier...
Hi,
Should it be of use to someone, it is possible to repair the mounting bracket if you can collect enough of the parts together. I glued mine back together and then used a junior hacksaw to remove the bolt head plastic surround, so it can be mounted back on using standard nuts and bolts with...
Hi,
Thanks. Are these no good then? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-RENAULT-CLIO-II-FUEL-FLAP-FUEL-CAP-COVER-7700836756-NEW/223143635918?epid=13010445266&hash=item33f465abce:g:je4AAOSwylhc0p2C
Thanks,
Hi,
I am doing some corrosion treatment around the fuel filler on my 182. In removing the filler cap, the plastic hinge base plate disintegrated.
Is this part available separately and where from?
Thanks,
Hi,
The factory finishes are thinning in my car's wheel arches, with isolated patches of surface corrosion. My plan would be to remove all the wheel arch plastic trim and coat over the arches to increase longevity. What are people using for those abrasion areas like wheel arches?
Thanks,
Hi,
My Clio 182 has developed a minor misfire at low rpm and I have traced it to the coil pack arcing to the inlet manifold. It appears the arc is between the bottom right corner of the coil pack, where it then jumps across to the inlet manifold where the vacuum pipe is clipped.
I have not...
Hi everyone,
As a final last resort I thought I would get some top mounts from RPD. Fitted them and after a run around the block, the mounts are sitting as good as they did when I first got the car (i.e. correctly).
If it remains like this, then there are "OEM" rubber doughnuts in the market...
Hi
Unfortunately the issue has resurfaced with very few miles having been put on the car (sub 1k). Replacing the struts did not resolve.
Not sure what the cause is.
Thanks,
Hi,
I won't be having time to resolve the brake problem on my Clio 182, which has been parked up for a few months whilst trying to work out how to properly bleed the brakes post changing the Master Cylinder.
Are there any recommended Renaultsport specialists near north Manchester who I can...
Hi
The issue seemed to resolve itself and still don't know what changed.
The only related thing which followed was an injector failed a few months later.
Hi
The fault was there before rebuilding the calipers. They now operate smooth to the hand and hold fluid fine.
I have done some reading on the clone clip and it doesn't look very positive. It seems very hit and miss about whether it works. Does anyone know if the iCarSoft i907 can operate the...
Hi Brigsy,
I have the Master Cylinder on the way now (thanks to help in identifying part numbers etc.) so next is to work out can I do it myself or do I need to get someone who has the diagnostic equipment to bleed the ABS pump.
Where is the cloned Clip found?
Thanks,
Hi
Just in case anyone else stumbles across this, I discovered I misread the price for the RSTuner with ABS module. Total cost is circa £250 which means I will get a local garage to run through the test cycle for less.
Thanks,
Hi,
Great thanks so hopefully the one linked in your email post should be the same spec?
For my own learning, what is the difference between the three brands of Master Cylinder used? Are the connection points spaced differently or do they have different threads?
What is the experience of...
Hi all,
I think I have identified the MC with it still being on the car. It has a round end to it and looks like the one in the attached image (stolen from somewhere on the internet).
Does anyone know what brand this one is?
Is the issue between different brand Master Cylinders down to...
Hi,
I have had a look but not been able to confirm the OEM Part No. for the brake master cylinder on a Clio 182. Does anyone know what this is and what a reputable supplier for it would be?
Regards,
Hi,
I have found out that there is an RSTuner extension which would give ABS module function control and bleed procedures. Does anyone have any experience of this and does it work on the Clio 182?
Link to RSTuner extension I found...
Hi,
The front brake calipers are now rebuilt with new pistons and seals. Whilst the symptoms have improved they are not resolved.
Anyone able to advise on these symptoms?
Does the ABS pump fulfill the role of brake bias valve?
Can the ABS pump be bled without CLIP should I replace the brake...
Hi
Possibly.
I have done some more digging around online and now unsure whether my car has a brake bias valve or if this is only for non-ABS equipped cars. My car is the "full fat" 182 so has ABS. Does this mean my car does not have a brake bias valve as this is a function of the ABS module...
Hi
I did forget to say that the calipers move freely when I have the car jacked up. I have replaced the sliders as a precautionary measure as well. Both sides move freely. If the car has stood the brakes behave fine but if you use them like in stop start traffic they quickly start to drag...
Hi
Both front brakes on my Clio 182 do not appear to be fully releasing. If the car is not used for a period then the car will roll freely, however should you use it in stop start traffic say then they pump up and start to drag. This is exhibited by the heavier steering and that both front...
