Nice work keeping her well maintained. That 1.2 16v engine wants for a few things but is a good sturdy runner if looked after. I used to live/drive my 1.2 16v in Dundee, there some really helpful people and good garages around. If I'm back up I'll give you a shout. We could get a bit of a meet...
As a fellow non-detailer I know how satisfying getting a clean like that done is, even if its not "clean" by the standards of most OCD detailers. Hope it helped take your min off things.
172 wheels on a trophy will look fantastic IMO. Bold move, I like it. Maybe a more OEM headunit in the...
JackleCube Thanks :) I still miss it sometimes. It was without doubt the perfect run-around, but the 20 year-old me needed a taste of speed and she had to go. Still running to this day though, with dynamique wheels and a standard ride height but the rest of the mods stayed. Here is the project...
I'm 99.9% sure that leak is your sunroof seal. Bloody annoying but a satisfying and cheap (all be it a time consuming one, I'd allocate half a day) fix. There's a great guide here: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?471130-Leaking-Sunroof-Fix&highlight=sunroof . I had that problem on...
I remember this car from a while back and it is spaced perfectly, exactly how I want mine. But I can't for the life of me find any evidence of this car. I have scanner every thread for the search "flame red" and "flamer" to 2011! It's well know I'm sure of it, a very clean 172.
Put me out of my...
There's a P1 that parks on the street outside the owner's house in Wimbledon. Every time I see it I refuse to believe someone can spare £800k + for the car and not find somewhere nice to park it.
Boring/sheep as this sounds; silver just works best. I had anthracite and when I returned them to silver I fell back in love with the look of it again. That's on a Monaco, I'm sure its true of yours too.
Every time this thread gets an update I click it hoping the wheels/stance is sorted. Always disappointed.
[edit] Just read wheels are staying. Spacers and drop. I'd love to see it.
Looking like a decent start. Stickers and sunstrip are not to my taste. The wheels look like smaller versions of the ones sold on the new clio TCE spec. They should look good when/if you lower the car a bit which i would highly recommend.
You will not get the support of a lot of people on here...
So some context. This is a friend's (Navid's) daily hack. Its a 1.2 8v expression with no sunroof (:hail:) and 5 doors. It's his first car, mechanically spot-on but was just a very basic spec and a bit dull. The objective was to spend almost no money and liven it up a bit. I wouldn't even go so...
