how much power is realistically possible.
When you say possible.....on std valve sizes about 250 bhp, on larger valves alot more.......closer to 300.
Realistically.....depends how much of a realistic budget you have.
you need the 2ltr starter and ecu, block, 1.8 flywheel (if off a megane), willy head gasket and timing belt.
std 16v head is fine. if your not planning much.
You wont gain anything, the F4R has a minimum octane required of 95, and to be totally hinest it doesnt really make a differnce whether your on 95 or 97/98 and 100 certainly wont make you any more power.
Behind the theory is fine, but the engine just isnt there to make use of the fuel...
When mapping an engine IDEALLY instead of running off an exhaust gas analyser in th tailpipe (slow reaction) using a wide band (expensive) lambda setup to monitor a/f ratio, using the knock sensor if they can to keep an eye as itll be tailored to the frequency this engine emits when knock starts...

always on the A24
if you see me, wave.....or moon, whichever you prefer.
no, playing with the rear torsion spring rates and ARB strength is not easy as there are no commercially available parts unlike other torsion bar based cars which are used in competition.
I notice you have a 19, not a clio......so i cant say if its the same. But clios havea tendancy to...
Golfs and the entire VAG group have always had great interchangability and shared parts, much like for too.....but not ren so its all find out yourself and make it yourself.
PLus te renault aftermarket isnt as alive as dubs or the blue oval.
Mind you, now your saying changing the master...
head is almost done but been put on the back shelf for the moment due to a alrge numbr of customer heads to be finished asap. But its only got the 1 porst and the maching to do.
lol, i can see that golf ruining the appearance of the house haha.
you really need a garage, and a drive! :P...
oh dear!!!!
4 litres!!!
Max amount of oil in the engine is 6 litres....absolute MAX
the difference between max and minimum on teh dipstick is only about 2.6ltrs.
Basically you just overfilled it, minimum oil level doesnt mean its empty, it means that its on the near minimum required...
I assume he means that they did map with a lambda (probably a narrow bad the cheap buggers lol) and as he said, mapped to peak power, irrespective of A/F ratio.
I would of personally run circa 13:1 or lower rather than jsut back off the ignition.
if the front and rear shocks are changed together and the front spring height is the same then you dont need to adj the torsion bar.
But a hard front and soft rear = understeer to put it basically.
If your willing to make caliper mounts then ANY caliper that hasnt got too large a piston area will suffice.
Something like the laguna V6 calipers and discs can be adapted with mouting modifications.
anything is possible with work, but how much are you wanting to do, just bolt straight on?
