    Your bought and current mileage

Bought my 1.2 MK3 in September/October time 2013 on 36,000, hit 40,000 weekend before last!

Whats wrong with your car right now??

Stupid sodding wiper motors going again for a second time. Few scratches that need polishing out. My brand new HID kit is sitting on my bedroom units and not in the headlights yet :( It needs a clean and vacuum, but I'll take the stuff to the tip first! Edit: Passenger front speaker has started...

Wiper motors - unlucky or a bigger issue?

My wiper motor was submerged in water last year when I bought the car, a few months ago it stopped working totally and when opened up you could see it was full of gunge and a mess. So, I went to the breakers and found the cleanest motor off the newest clio mk3 they had and replaced mine, now two...

    Quick HID question

Ah I see, I'm going to keep the rubber dust caps on the headlight and drill them, then use the extension cable then to keep the dust caps, I was planning to just get rid of the dust caps and plug the ballast straight into the headlight connector, hence the confusion!
  6. Ethan1996

    Quick HID question

Nope, thought you'd take the wire out that connects into the bulb and plug that directly into the ballast. Didn't think there'd be an extension and assumed if there was it'd have a plug on both ends not two spade connectors
  7. Ethan1996

    Quick HID question

Thanks for that excellent diagram! That's basically the cables I have on the chair leading to the bulb, so that diagram doesn't involve any of the cables in my hand and can be made purely with the cables on the chair, so I'm guessing the spare cables there must be for other bulbs/ballasts or...

Few questions on how much it would cost

Yeah they do sound familiar to me! Will give them a try probably as I remember reading about them before. It's £7.95 actually ;) close ;)
  9. Ethan1996

    Quick HID question

Ballast plugs on the chair though, so it's the other plug and cables that confuse me as they're spare.

    Vaccume recommendation!

I got the 35 quid cheapest Titan vacuum, while the sections amazing and it's great, it has one less filter than the 45 quid one so it chucks dust out the back :(

Few questions on how much it would cost

Ordered some off them before? I need some good match paint for my colour coding in Monaco Blue

Few questions on how much it would cost

You have a lunch break don't you? ;) sandwich and sandpaper ;)! Seen your thread your car would look loads better with a good choice of spoiler and colour coding! Saw someone with carbon wrapped bits either side of the number plate, that looked smart!

DIY it ;) you know you want to!

    Quick HID question

That's the one on the seat, theres two cables in my hand, both don't go anywhere at all its just that plug in my hand leading to the two pins in my hand, nothing on either end.

    Removing rear side strips?

Ah okay, I have a spare rear strip in the garage ill take a look and try and work it out :)
  16. Ethan1996

    Quick HID question

Don't think you get what i mean haha, look at the first post photos. There's four wires going through the rubber grommet, I get where you put the grommet etc and know you have to drill a hole in the rear dust cap on the headlight that the grommet then goes into (been looking on 197.net). What I...

    Quick HID question

The Mk3 they're a sealed unit, just confused about the other two wires I understand the grommet stuff :)

    Quick HID question

Amos91 Chrisgti6 yes I have projectors :) hate people who dazzle other drivers with incorrectly fitted HIDS! I'm assuming those connectors are just spares really? The bulb has the two wires that come out with the plug sitting on the seat, that then fits perfectly into the ballast plug and the...

    Quick HID question

The plugs on the chair go from bulb to ballast, what's the others in my hand for? It goes from the plug in my hand to the tabs in my hand? Thanks

    Removing rear side strips?

Was thinking this literally as i came onto the forum as im going to colour code my Mk3, is it the same with your 197/MK3 strips?

Horn problem need help please anyone !

Could you use a ph1 indicator stalk with the horn button on the end therefore not needing the horn button on the wheel?
  22. Ethan1996

At last finally got a clio ph1

Colour code the side strips and door handles, ph2 rear lights would look smart, then silvervisions ;) restore the headlights if they're hazy (look clear in your first post though), clear side indicators are also another common mod.

    Extra interior light

No idea about this but very interested as I keep thinking of doing it myself, I'd assume the wiring probably isn't there and I guess you'd have to work out the position of the light then cut it small with a Stanley knife then file and sand it bigger, you'd have a bit of leeway as the light is...

Used tyre foam repair on a flat tyre - puncture repair ?

Tyre place I use sorted out a tyre last time I was there for someone else, they refused to sort it unless the guy cleaned the foam himself and gave him a rag some gloves and some white spirit!

Used tyre foam repair on a flat tyre - puncture repair ?

That's basically it, it's just that the foam dries incredibly sticky and gungey and noone really wants to have to sit there getting the foam out when they can just put on a new tyre for you for more money in less time. Depends on where you go really some tyre places can do it others won't...

    Parrot question

Does the kit come with mounts? Mine only came with a weird wire thing that im not really sure where it goes to be honest! skinz iirc a brodit proclivity is for phones more than the parrot kit and they're loads of money, remember looking before and it was around 50 quid for my S3 edit...

What are they like brightness etc wise?

My little 1.2 mk3 clio imusic

Ah like the blue tinted bulbs? How do you find them? I've got projectors so ordered a HID kit, then just some £6 a pair "xenon white" bulbs which are just tinted blue bulbs, not sure how else they're different really! They're just for the cornering lights though :)

    Parrot question

So, I've got a Parrot ck3100 fitted in the clio and the screens mounted to the right of the steering wheel on the dash trim bit. My problem is that no matter what I do I can't get the screen to stay there! I've tried window security double sided tape, and endless other tapes and nothing holds...
