ABS Pulsing - Replacing ABS ring

Hi, I've been having some problems with my ABS warning light coming on. I am also getting a pulsing from the ABS at slow speed which seems to sometimes trigger the lights to come on. I thought it was a sensor problem but today I stripped the brakes down and found a lot of corrosion to the hub...

    Sticky Front Calipers

I took delivery of these today and went to fit them and they are not the same as those on my 182. They don't line up with the carriers :(

What should be my next few mods and why

This! Best money I ever spent and its the only part of the car you touch every day so you really notice it.

I'm only finding them on carparts4less at that price each. Is that really a pair?

    e46 M3 Individual. Version 2.

I used to have an M3 individual with very similar colours. The Nav can be upgraded for the DVD based unit quite cheaply secondhand and it's a big improvement. Still not to modern standard but much better than that one.

Help - can't get steering wheel controls to work

I was pleased to see your reply and tried it but no luck. Should the yellow or the blue connector go in? One is for the CD player and one the stalk controls. I tried both but neither work. I know the controls do work as I bought an old OEM head unit and they work ok. I also made sure the...

Help - can't get steering wheel controls to work

Hi - the head unit is a Sony MeX bt3900u. I've sort of given up on this problem now. :( The lead I bought was on eBay called CTSRN003 from Connects2

    Opinions for my LY

Bilstein b14s. Steering wheel retrim. Best value mods I've done on my car and has completely rejuvenated it.

Best coilovers for a 172 cup, £500 ish budget?

Another vote for B14s here. I love them. Comfy fast road setup. Work really well and the lack of ability to 'fiddle' is a bonus for me as I would obsess about whether my car was setup optimally whenever I drove otherwise.

Help - can't get steering wheel controls to work

The only phono connection on the back of the head unit is for a mic in. I don't want to use that as the unit has a built in mic. I know the stalk does work as I tested it with the oem stereo

Help - can't get steering wheel controls to work

I had another crack at this and thought I had found the problem finding a blue ended plug tucked inside. However trying all fits it does not work. I think this was for the CD player. I still can't tell what the box and phono connection are for?

Help - can't get steering wheel controls to work

Hi, I bought a connects2 kit from eBay to get my steering wheel controls to work with my Sony MeX bt3900u head unit. The instructions say to connect in this order 1) car 2) connects 2 harness 3) aftermarket harness 4) head unit I have done this and also connected the little box which has a...

I'm watching this thread with interest. I bought a nearly new set of these coilovers that came of a track car. As such I just installed them and made no adjustments Mine is measuring Front r595 l585 Rear r594 l597 The setup is perfect for me. I live in the Cotswolds and have some great roads...

    Oil for my 182

Having run a Porsche 997 on that stuff it's also goes in my 182 (same grade as you though) It is very highly rated in Porsche circles to help prevent bore scoring.

What wheels sizes fit a 182?

Hi - I have a cup packed 182 running on bilstein coilovers. My turinis need a refurb. I am thinking it's easiest to just pick up a ser of wheels from eBay whilst they are done. Do 'regular' Clio wheels fit? They are pretty cheap and I think can be 14" ? What is the smallest that fits without...

Petrol blue 182 - more info please

Thanks - I did go see it and decided against it. I didn't notice the rear arch but there was plenty of other issues that put me off. Shame as if the car was prepped properly and painted well it would make a nice car.

Petrol blue 182 - more info please

I went and saw the one on eBay today. The colour really is fantastic. It was sunny and the car was clean. The paint has gold in it which really pops out. Regrettably the car was not for me. It has too many mechanical issues which would be easy to sort but too many minor problems with the paint...

Petrol blue 182 - more info please

I think you have the same plan as me but the right car for the job. My titanium car is not special enough and I found my 36k trophy too nice to put miles on. I will keep an eye out for another. This one looked standard right down to the exhausts. No cup spoiler. I should have pulled over when...

Petrol blue 182 - more info please

Hi, I was driving into Cirencester yesterday and followed what I now know to be a petrol blue 182. I never saw this colour before and really liked it. Anyone know if this is rare or hard to come by?

    Best disc and pads

I've just removed some Carbon Lorainne rc6e pads from my 182. The positives are the braking effort is amazing from cold and I had no real fade (on the road). However on the downsides; 1) I had a wheel bearing go very shortly after buying the car 2) The disk and pad wore down to the metal in...

    This thing is too loud...

My car was the same when I bought it. Fortunately I had the OEM system to the back box. Putting the mid silencer and the cat back in makes a big difference. The back box still sounds better than OEM. If you have a custom air filter that makes a big difference too. However the Cat makes the...

    Clearing up headlights

I used the 3m kit on my Volvo and to be honest wasn't impressed. I got better results with wet and dry with elbow grease (lots of it many times :() on my Clio However I only really got good satisfying results using a Makita rotary polisher for the final stage. I would not really bother unless I...

Looking at the Clio 182 (Maybe Trophy Edition)

As an ex owner of a Trophy and a current owner of a 182 I'd say the trophy is not worth the extra. I'd keep the money for minor modifications or buy one lightly modified. It's a better all round car. If you want the car for resale or some idea of price increase then Trophy but I think this is...

KTEC Filter Clean with K&N Oil?

I use petrol and K&N foam filter oil to service my KTM motorbike filter. Have done it for years and the filter is fine - however the petrol over time seems to have bleached out the dye from the filter. Only a cosmetic problem but maybe important :)
