Pretty much, We both expected mine to get dicked by it. Given different circumstances like a nice straight road and rolling, it may well have pulled away a bit.
Lazy torque driving is far better day to day though. None of this pull out, not much speed gaining, VTEC BWWWAAAAAARRRRRP, gear change. I could leave all the powerband s**t to when I wanted a proper hoon, with flames and pops and bangs etc ;)

Must admit, being able to control the VTEC crossover point is a bonus. Could do with it kicking in before the overtake, not half way through an overtake. Been weird dropping cogs for overtakes again lol.

You wouldn't even need to take them off dude. Width you'll get with a bit of squinty eye, a tape measure and an educated guess. Length is super easy if these have no preload on them.
The diameter is easy enough to get a measure of, it's just the rates that are a bit more difficult, but I'd imagine the newer ones will be either the same, or very similar rates.
If you can find out spring rates and the size, you could always get shorter springs...

You need to lock it, otherwise there's potential for the lone ring to come loose and wind off the body and then you're in a whole world of s**t. I don't think you'll be able to run the rings the other way as getting at it will be a right c**t with the spring. You could tack weld the one ring at...
