Aye they should be fine for yours as you've got same as me - but if you want to be doubly sure just whip one of your trumpets off and make sure the ID is 48mm
It was a test by someone at that company on a single engine which led to them selling a product.
Let's just agree to disagree, I'm happy with my setup :)
You say they don't add anything based on a test by the company that make the non tapered ones. Not based on the studies made by every other company.
We can all quote things off the internet but at the end of the day I'd rather have what Jenvey recommend for the Jenvey bodies - I'm sure they...
I'm so confused by you it's unreal.
He's posted his rolling road graph, its virtually identical to mine. He hasn't gained any mid torque or mid power, the peak power isn't much higher. So ermmmmm they don't work lol. I don't know how you can say you don't get the same gains but that doesn't...
Hahah true. Wonder what effect it would have on lap times having mcdonalds trays under your rear wheels lol
Tony - if you weren't joking (which I'm sure you were) one of my mates is selling Dave Kift's old 106 race car
Did well in the castle combe saloons for quite a few years ;)
Errrr how is it speculation. Several people including Jim here have now tried 438's with bodies and aren't getting decent power out of them.
Cam's don't work like what? You've just said that 438's have a shorter duration (probably to avoid valve overlap on a standard inlet) so will never make...
I cut the whole of the bit out that has the bonnet latch on, then the ends of the strengthening bars I just ground the ends flat with a grinding disc on a dremel.
I'll be honest it's not very pretty to look at because the strengthening bits are actually glued to the skin too - so pulling them...
Yep chrispy's setup was identical to mine - individual SF48's on a jenvey clio manifold
So the ones I linked you to will fit.
The bonnet on my car was touching the foam filter so I cut the inner skin out - loads of room now :)
Good point but I'd assume the OP has the individual setup as it's far more common than the twin setup.
I think they stopped selling the twin setup about 5 years ago!
The problem is with the emeralds is they have a very narrow opening and are parallel the whole way through
You lose a fair bit of torque without that taper
The 120mm trumpets taper from what I think is around 60mm down to 48mm then the bodies themselves taper from 48mm to 45mm - so you get...
You can see the difference in length between 90mm and 120mm here
I use a carbon backbox from reverie and a C603D (I think) pipercross filter - it all clears fine.
Sorry this is getting very confusing
Clio bodies are 48mm
They are tapered 45mm at the head and 48mm at the trumpet.
I read your post in a rush and though you meant you'd opened up the head end to be 48mm
If you've got 48mm at the trumpet tapering down to 45mm at the manifold/head -...
No there's no benefit to the larger bore, 45mm is absolutely fine for our engines (they can cope with 65bhp per cylinder which would be 260bhp).
Yes they fit (I've got them on my 172 - check my progress thread).
You buy them direct from Jenvey...
I have read in a few other threads now that 438's really don't work well with bodies :(
I think if you really want over 200bhp you're gonna have to flog them and get 421's instead mate

Tatuus rail for sale - I don't think the guy ever got an offer for it so might split just the rail out for you
Can I ask why you need a metal rail? Is it just...
The problem is that's not really relevant - because you have a jenvey inlet manifold on your RS2
Whether a Jenvey rail will bolt into a standard manifold is a different question.
^^ That sounds like a good plan.
I want to swap my cheap polo rad for an alloy one over winter as doing 'ring trip in the Clio next year and it does struggle with summer heat on long drives
That's kinda what I was getting at too lol
If the clio shell is too bent - and ex BTCC 306's are turning up - it would bankrupt someone trying to get a clio competitive again.
