They did a review on gadgetshow too - right up to the £££ cables - made no difference at all
I'm not suprised - it's a digital signal not analog so cable will make f**k all difference
Cool cheers mate - put up a wanted thread, hopefully someone has a whiney one they want rid of.
If cupman doesn't buy Andy's I'll run up to newcastle and grab that :)
The standard ones are 48mm tapered - I believe they taper down to 45mm
As chip said it's got nothing to do with "getting too much air in" - the engine limits that, 45mm are still plenty big enough to flow more air than the 2litre engine will.
Hrmm that's a pretty good idea - as then I can take the new LSD with crownwheel over to Agency and have them rebuild it into my box while I do a bit of shopping.
I'm sure I've read Tony say they will do a rebuild while you wait sort of thing somewhere.
Yeah I'm with you there Chip.
It's £680 ish incl. vat but then gearbox needs stripping and rebuilding, and the crownwheel will need removing and heat fitting to the new diff. So probably still looking at £1100
My other concern is that if I do that I'll have to just pick a gearbox company...
200bhp - 4 cylinders = 50bhp per cylinder.
40-42mm size.
Though saying that I must admit I didn't read your original post correctly - the standard jenvey kit for the clio is a 48mm tapered itb
Depending on what power you are aiming for 50's might be better BUT you'd need a matched inlet...
As Ed says. But looking at tin top rules it's VERY vague anyway
It says you have to keep the original pick up points, but you can fit adjustable parts.
If the existing top mount holes where kept then you could say that's the original pick up points. Then oval the hole out and fit an adjustable...
Re: Bateseys 172..
Getting a daily is the best thing I've done.
Forecast snow again in October/November and I'll be chuckling to myself in the 4wd barge hehe
Good work on the paint. Looks good for a diy job! I need to get my roll cage re-done as I painted it with brush-on hammerite lol
There is some proper s**t on this thread.
It's the opinions people have of trackdays in this thread that makes me want to go into sprints and timed events rather than be on track with idiots lol
LMFAO at all the slating. They're epic in the wet which funnily enough is what they're made for.
If you want to hoon around in the dry then buy something made for that rather than overheating the rainsports and winging about them being s**t
*most ironic post on Cliosport as I track my car...
This is what confuses me - Neil is absolutely right
Here's the paragraph from the waiver I signed at Cadwell with Javelin
Now I'm not legal expert but it certainly says you understand the risk and that you will be unlikely to claim from any 3rd parties. To me the court should have thrown...
Mark is awesome - the 16v conversions he used to do on 106's - you honestly couldn't tell they weren't factory. Insane attention to detail.
They welded my cage in for me - it's the only bit on my car I didn't do myself. Looking at this though I wish I'd let him do my ITB's haha
Looking back at the video there's easily another 3 or 4 seconds to be gained if I had any idea where the corners went lol
I can't wait to get back there - leaving the rainsports on for now as hoping to do a few february/march sessions when it will no doubt be snowing knowing this country
Where exactly did you read they are good in the dry?
They are a fantastic wet/winter/autumn tyre, I have them on mine and can easily drive around people on track in the wet.
But if you hammer the hell out of them then they do overheat and go off.
They're nowhere near as bad as you make...
