I plan on buying a spare gearbox to nick the CWP out of to send to quaife - and I was planning on stripping it down for the same reason you have. I've never stripped a gearbox and I'm eager to see how they work :)
They will make 215 with engine mods too. Above 215 is mega money. But you won't get 215 from just bolting a set onto a standard engine.
Most will produce 195ish or 205ish with cams

No yeah I read that - what I was wondering was it seemed to lock up a few times then badly and hit Tony. At that point I think I would have called it a day as either the brakes were having issues or there was oil on the tyres. Seems a bit weird carrying on for the rest of the race and at a fair...

Creaking steering rack - good luck
A mate of mine had that on his 200, took years of arguing and renault eventually replaced the steering column, epas system, steering rack, loads of other bits - I believe it's still creaking and knocking :(
