Hahaha that's literally EXACTLY the same as me. I just drive forwards until I can see the lawn mower moving, then stop.
I haven't even washed mine either. I keep meaning to pull it out the garage and wash and wax it then put it back for the winter, but it's cold and I can't be bothered lol
Kelv - that would be easy with aftermarket management - just run the igntion wires from a panel rather than the key fob
But if you're still using the standard ECU you'd have to get the immobiliser removed from it.
Around the ignition barrel is a transponder ring that reads the code off the key. It's a little tiny black chip in the key.
It's the same way that NFC works
You'd have to buy something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REFURBISHMENT-KIT-CASE-FOR-RENAULT-CLIO-MODUS-KANGOO-2-BUTTON-REMOTE-FLIP-KEY-/320876932739?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item4ab5c16e83
Then work out how to get the electrical gubbins from...
The dolby thing won't effect me - I must use my xbox slightly differently
I take the audio and video into my TV through HDMI, then take the 5.1 output from the optical out on my TV into my turtle beach headphones.
That way I can use the turtle beach's for whatever is on my tv - movies, tv...
FINALLY that is what I was trying to say
They don't match the port angle in the head - they angle upwards presumably for clearance over air-con and other standard gubbins.
Then if you add an angled spacer down you're effectively creating two sharp angles in the inlet path.
If you open the...
I'm point blankly refusing to reply in threads you're in these days. You're utter lack of logic or understanding of basic math is insane.
The DTH with 90's is longer than SF with 120's. They also angle upwards a fair bit more than SF's.
I cut my bonnet because it pressed on the filter and I...
Yes I understand that - but even on 90's they are higher.
I don't think either kit is better than the other out of the box - but I'd rather have the SF's if you're chasing length LOL
I suppose you could get the DTH's machined at an angle to lower them a bit
The same thing happened with ATPower and GMC for the pugs/citroens.
It sadly doesn't always make a better setup especially as they'll have been worried about standard radiators and air-con setups etc... to make them easy for their customers to fit.
Looks very familiar ;)
You can see on that pic the advantage of the SF's if you don't want to arse about with spacers. The 120 trumpets sit about the same height as the original slam panel, so as you've said other than the 2 studs you don't have to chop your bonnet.
Compare it to icemans...
That's literally the only benefit to them. You should be able to get the filter to sit right up against the grille. It'll make some fecking torque with that setup!
Please stop these SF/DTH arguments though lol
Yep - I listened. I have that exact setup on my car.
I cut the studs off but the bonnet still sat on the filter so I decided to just chop the inner skin out completely for more air around the filter :)
And yes it works BRILLIANTLY.
Good god *breathes*
Not on a ph1 no. On a ph2 maybe but they'd be pressed against the bonnet latch bit on a standard bonnet and airflow would be kinda s**t to them
I cut my bonnet just because I didn't see any point having that big bulge where the latch used to be and you get more space...
Not sure as that's not my car
But he's running the same carbon backing plate and filter as mine - there's about 10mm around the trumpets and around 15-20mm in front of them. The sausage filter is huge
It's not a load of s**t AT ALL.
You can't fit 90's without chopping the bonnet, but you can fit 120mm's to the SF kit without any mods to the bonnet at all
You could angle the DTH kit but then you're adding angles to the inlet path
The K-Tec kit is also the same price as the SF Kit direct...
As I'm working from home at the moment and got nothing better to do than measure my length
Manifold - 74mm
SF Bodies - 66mm
Trumpets - 120mm
So a total of 260mm to head - obviously a bit further than that to valve.
No idea how that racks up against the DTH bodies or ATPower ones - or...
Hahahah REALLY?
You must have such a fun filled life.
When people at christmas tell jokes from crackers do you go "*ahem* actually that's physically impossible, if you understood the laws of motion....." zzzzzzz
Most of the clio mappers recommended on here haven't got a fecking clue what they're doing - hence why I always recommend shopping around for a proper mapper rather than someone who's just self-taught on a laptop for the last 3 years ;)
Right ok so "generic" you mean the SF individual bodies. Got you
I think you're getting a bit bogged down on the fact that the DTH bodies are longer than the SF bodies with manifold (and to be honest from what I've seen they aren't - I'm not sure why you think they are)
Fitting angled...
I wouldn't buy the DTH kit from K-Tec if I had a ph1. The angle of them is really anti-social when it comes to bonnet clearance.
The "proper" kit from Jenvey is about the same price anyway
^^ What the hell are "generic" bodies? nothing you wrote makes any sense. The k-tec kit angles...
