Id like to know too. My pioneer came with an infer red remote, but is their any headunit control terminal at the back?
If so it must be possible, jus whether its worth it or not.
Come on 17 inch OZ & Speedlines are £700 with Yoko tyres on so id say £450 considering new tyres & if u can find any1 that wants them cause for 200 more they could take their choice of some spankers.
Ive read that the sunroof is a V. difficult job to take out & ultimatly means its not worth it. If its jus the plastic trim u could paint it if its gone a bit funny like all the phase 1 sunroof surrounds do.
It still takes time to get to 120 though stupac, but mine flys to 110 as urs does but will then creep upto *25; ive had *30 out of mine (standard)! Nothing wrong with mine but it shouldnt lose power at higher revs in any gear but perhaps u lose momentum in 5th (air resistance); shouldnt happen...
Take the battery out, fit air box over throttle body (making sure seals r air tight), clip cold air feed pipe to bottom as u attatch it, tighten bolts. Job done.
That engine has been polished with-in an inch of its life! ;)
My rocker cover has a few chips so it doesnt bother me, plus mine is not exactly a show car like urs seems to be becomming.
Needs load of polishing! :o
So that isnt urs in the picture then?
Not sure about stickers on the exterior as some peeps may think ur trying to pretend, especially when a lot of people dont even know what a Clio 1.8 16v is!
Keep the chrome badges on the boot, they look
Actually Mat; do i need them laquered aswell by a bodyshop afterwards?
Nevermind, jus read the alloy wheel re-fubishment section. Good stuff, now i have to get them down to Birmingham from Manchester and then pick them up again! :(
Should i have them polished or is the mat look best for the...
Mine sometimes struggles to go in first and can be a little notchy, it never grinds or completly fails to go in gear so i doubt its either my clutch or gearbox, so am guessing it is my gear linkage although other times it can be fine.
Usually does it when engine is warm (not always...
After experiancing 2 different oils for my 16v;
Magnetex; wan*, too thick when cold & makes the tappets REALLY noisy.
Mobil 1; perfect, thin when cold and sweatens the sound aswell IMO! Expensive but well worth it if u really care about it.
Get a Williams sticker made up for the rocker cover definnetly!
Looks clean as always. ;)
Is that really a 70mil drop at the rear! :o To think i only wanna 35mil drop!
16s r the best compramise IMO & with how low urs is Adi i bet 16s look big anyway!
I couldnt live with my 17s hench selling them; jus too harsh a drive and performance sapping, great cornering abilities though.
Do they blast down the inside of the rim then powder coat it & laquer it or just the outside?
Any1 had theirs done who can answer? Because i need mine doing to get rid of the slow air leak caused by flaky paint on seal with tyre apparently. Thanx, Mikey.
Ive heard knocking on full lock is ur steering colum but a 172 shouldnt have that problem. Is there some slack when steering ur 16v Valver, eg. wont do anything (change direction) when only doing slight turns on the wheel?
