If you are using nVidia card, just install their binaries http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk unless you are saying the bug affects that too ?
I use software RAID5 on a linux box because it meets with the requirements of my level of protection, speed and capacity. If the data was mission critical then sure.. I would backup to elsewhere too and look into alternatives RAID10 with off site backups etc. overkill for my home video collection ;)
I am using it as a cloud backup of my personal content... holiday photos, videos etc. should it go down I will re-upload the content elsewhere. Handy if my local storage goes tits up ;)

In my experience, if the interviewer is a b**ch (or b*****d) I wouldn't work for them anyway.. even if they offered the job. Got headhunted for a role and said no in the past.

Or just follow your CCNA training and tell them it's a "best effort" packet delivery protocol, then go into the basics of why we need it and why it works so well in todays networks, like handling out of sequence...
