Bosch super 4 Spark plugs
Castrol Magnetec 5w-30 or 10w-40
EBC OEM spec pads ( Blackstuff ) or Greenstuff for a about a tenner more, well worth it.
Castrol Differential EPX 75w/80
After alot of debate about just what a 197 can and cant be run on, its come apparent that all RenaultSports are recommended for use on Super Unleaded.
So what is the best fuel in everyones opinion?
With my previous clio 2003 1.4 i always used Bp Ultimate and although it increased my Economy...
I'd go for the Cup.
I've never regretted buying the Cup version, when i picked it up from the dealer the salesman said 'the 197's okay, but the cup is the real drivers choice'.
Couldnt put it better myself
My brother was pulled over in his saxo by a policeman with a Vosa inspector and he picked up on the decat within seconds, 15 days to remove it or invalid MoT :dapprove:
Very nice blue 197 in the car park at St Omer barracks Aldershot, always parked next to the slightly O.T.T Civic type R, Rare to see a squaddie actually driving a tasteful car haha?
Toyo T1-R
Silent road noise, great predictable grip in dry, never had any problems in wet, look cool and i've had mine for over a year (30,000miles) now and they still have perfect tread front and rear, if you drive em easy enough.
I got a KTR remap for my 1.4, that was wothwhile. Not everyone with their big 2 litres understands that we can only afford small engines but still wanna modify lol
K&N definately have a better build quality than pipercross.
I had both fitted to my car in the past year and for looks and performance the Pipercross Venom is great, but the K&N 57i is better for a good sound.
Fuel tanks are egg shaped hence why the gauge drops quickly then slows through the middle and speeds up again at the bottom.
55mpg out my 1.4, the miracles of Bp Ultimate lol.
